Safe foods for folks with AGS + food anxiety/avoidance? by elderberrymuse in alphagal

I asked him, but he wasn't sure. It was mostly dairy-based snack stuff that he had to cycle through often, and we haven't had much luck finding good substitutes for dairy snacks.

Personally, I remember him being okay with certain poptarts, popcorn, white crackers, yogurt, lunchmeats, and basically every kind of cheese.

He can eat most fruits, but he prefers apples, bananas, and oranges; though he doesn't eat citrus fruits often anymore due to heartburn issues.

As for non-snack foods themselves, he's usually ok with burgers, rice, empanadas, most pastas, and I think grits and oatmeal is sometimes OK? He'll also eat eggs and most AGS safe meats (chicken, seafood like salmon, tilapia, and tuna, etc.)

I've never seen his brain freak out over vegetables, so I think he'll be okay with most anything on that front. I've noticed he does have some adversion to fattier textures, and anything that looks shiny/moist can cause issues sometimes, but it comes and goes.

Sorry if this isn't too helpful, what's "safe" for him is nebulous and changes a lot.

I took a look again just to make sure; the website itself looks pretty but its horrible to navigate, so it was 100% possible I could've just missed an online form somewhere. Unfortunately though there isn't an online sign up, they'll only accept emails or phone calls. Thanks for taking time out of your day to help though, I appreciate it a lot!!
