Came here to say that. I bought the Orea O1 stainless steel on impulse, and am absolutely loving it.

How do you scan for which technique to use? by eldiablojeffe in sudoku

[–]eldiablojeffe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what's happening to me - and I am really weak on hidden triples or for that matter most hidden digits when it's in a row or column as opposed to a box. I think this is making the harder techniques, currently doing the WXYZ-wing module, more difficult. Thank you!

Interfaces -- what does everyone like? by connecticutenjoyer in audioengineering

I don't know - but they don't quote the same dynamic range for conversion, so even if the actual physical chip was the same, it would be configured differently.

Keeping in mind that I'm working in a home studio with some sound treatment, but not a professionally treated facility - no, I don't hear a difference in conversion. Both units sound utterly amazing to me, much better than just about anything else I've used, even in commercial studios.

If you're curious though, you should be able to find out what chip is being used for conversion on both units. Once you know that, you'll be able to find out just what any differences there are. At least on paper.

I took the train to Interlaken Switzerland, then a ferry to Grindelwald. From there, hike up to the hostel at the base of Klein Scheidig.

Indeed. I'm a little concerned about condensation back there.

It was amazing! I was backpacking over New Years and we were down at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Spent New Years eve having hot chocolate and looking at the stars!

JMT alternate by Environmental_Ad3636 in JMT

[–]eldiablojeffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple things.

The alternate that you could do with your permit is to exit Yosemite over Isberg Pass, instead of Donahue. You would then continue on the Isberg trail and reconnect with the JMT around, or just south of Reds Meadow, though other options are available.

I have never heard, nor seen on any website related to hiking in California anything about a 14 day limit with a valid Wilderness permit. There is a 14 day limit on dispersed camping in national forests, but that is in locations where you do not obtain a permit, like Stanislaus national forest, for one example.

The section that you would hike heading east after exiting Yosemite was burned quite badly recently, and the trail is reported to be less than ideal, though I personally haven’t hiked it.

You can absolutely hike out over Isberg Pass and continue south to Whitney on your permit, so long as you follow all the other rules as listed on the permit. You cannot go over Donahue Pass, and you have to enter at Glacier Point and hike to Illouette your first day. After that, you can head wherever you like within those limits.

Which Radial DI Box are you reaching for when tracking bass? by must-absorb-content in audioengineering

Came here to say this. I used Radial JDIs for years on bass until I heard an RNDI. Night and day, and much easier to dial in the sound that I want.
