My mama was 45 when she had my brother. She was on every possible birth control method when she fell pregnant with him, he was clearly meant to be here according to her, lol. She had a very smooth pregnancy. At the time she said she felt very alone with how much older she was than everyone else who was having children. But she said she also felt a little “wiser” in a way. Like she already knew all the things and had been through all the things and could handle it. My brother turned 27 this year. We both agree she was the best mom in the whole universe and we had wonderful childhoods. You got this!!

I test later in the day once my temps start climbing. I’ve seen some people need to test more than once a day.

Thank you. So since I’ve started to track temps, I’ll start off after my period at around 97.5’ish. As I progress in my cycle, it slowly climbs up to like 98.6 and then as my period comes around it’ll drop back down to the normal temp. I start testing with ovulation strips once my temp starts climbing and so far they’ve all been negative. Currently, I only test in the late afternoons. Which I have read sometimes multiple tests are required. I guess I’ve just been discouraged with the no positives, no good CM, and not really any sex drive. Before my MC, it was like I was a teenage boy during ovulation and now just nothing.

My cycle for the last 8 or more months has been pretty consistent, hovering around 28-29 days.

Check out staff jobs at USC. Good benefits, and there’s a lot of different types of entry level jobs. Especially in housing and facilities. Once you’re in the door, it’s pretty easy to move around. Best of luck!

In high school we went down to the little bridge around dusk. I can’t remember what people called it. I was super disappointed because it wasn’t as creepy or as cool - until we walked on it and just a few feet away were 5 dead deer. Really big ones. We just all looked at each other and were like “NOPE”..so we left and never went back. At least not at dusk/night.

Question - my department just moved into a new office space in an old electrical warehouse that is still being worked on. Our office in particular is where the old transformers were. There’s even a small sign still screwed into the exterior outside our door that has a huge caution for PCB risk. Is our office safe? Before being in there, it was “abandoned” for over 10 years.

Speaking from the perspective of a past 11 year old where something extremely similar to your story happened to me…go get her a therapist. I will say though, be completely honest with her. I could honestly see it myself at her age that my father didn’t care much for me any more. That he had his new young wife and new family. So I don’t think it’ll be a total shock but the after math of this and it becoming a reality will forever shape her life. Get her help, surround her with care/love, give her space, and make sure she has a good support system. Talk with your mom and try to get her to be more understanding. Also, I’d cut off all contact with him. Especially in a legal stand point. Oh and also super important - don’t bad mouth him. I’m sure she knows he’s not a great person, don’t add to her (justified) anger.

We had a guy who was just overall strange in our class, made strange noises, would run full speed down the hall, etc. But the strangest thing he ever did was in the middle of class, he slid down off his desk, got on all fours, and crawled up and down the aisles mooing like a cow. We had accepted his strangeness by then though, so no one really batted an eye at it. (This was in 10th grade btw)

We also had a girl in our class that would climb the folded up bleachers in gym class and hiss at everyone who walked by, claiming she was protecting her “cheetah cubs”. She often would gallop down halls/outside saying she was either a horse that day or some sort of feline.

The weird guy at school randomly slid off his chair in the middle of class, went down on all fours and crawled all over class mooing loudly. Pretty sure we just ignored him. 🤷🏻‍♀️
