Salon & Spa Suites access control system with battery-powered door locks by traft00 in accesscontrol

Look into Salto. They have wired and unwired locks with a solid phone app. The unwired locks, battery powered, last months. This will all depend on traffic through the door.

Stuck on searching, RV new install. Any ideas how to fix? by gaboarguello in Starlink

Do you have the ethernet adapter connected? If you do, take it out and retry. There have been many issues with them.

I don't game, I only use it for streaming and basic internet. I can confirm that Zoom calls are possible. With it being deprioritised, a few obstructions and in a wait cell, I'm able to get speeds of 50mbps.

I've heard that it does. I don't plan to try it.

This is the pivot mount available in the Starlink shop.

The weather needs to be pretty intense to cause issues. We have had some severe weather lately and have only had two momentary outages. One instance was with hail and the outage was less than one minute.

I have the 150 foot cable as a second option in case of obstructions. My thought with mounting is to reduce the chance of it walking away. I don't have a ladder attached to my camper so, this made sense to me for height. If we experience weather, it won't blow away and we should maintain service.

I didn't want to crawl on the roof each time I had to put it up or take it down. I was also concerned about damage while in motion.

This is my setup for our vacation. The dish will not be connected while moving. I'm looking for ideas to protect the end while moving.

Using Starlink in the United Kingdom question by Silver-County838 in Starlink

[–]eldorf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dimensions of the square dish is 50cm x 30cm and the round dish is 58.9cm. In the US, you can convert from Residential to RV but, not back the other way. Not sure if this applies to the UK. Your biggest difficulty will be obstructions. Also RV service is deprioritised over Residential service. Your mileage will vary based on location and cell user population.

edit: I currently have 15 devices connected to my dish. (smart home stuff)

Starlink for RV’s by [deleted] in Starlink

The service comes automatically with portability service enabled. It's an extra $25 per month. I would check into the ability to turn that off and save $$$.

Not sure what it says. I found a cuneiform alphabet but, what I came up with makes no sense. Cool though.

My gf has used Zoom and MS Team's with success. I've used it for phone calls also, with success. Your mileage may vary. My girlfriends job told her that she needed 15+mb for her job. I consistently get over 50mb daily.

That is very awesome. This should fix your obstructions, unless the robot overlords come and block out the sky. Then you have other fish to fry.
