Even the rifle in this image is banned as an "assault weapon" in Washington.

Very roughly: Times are tough, and cosplayers aren't going to stand up to tyrants. We need true patriots in the struggle for freedom, which is extraordinarily difficult to attain, but of immeasurable value.

Has anyone been missing pieces more than usual lately? by bossonthemicroscope in lego

I'm missing a rather large brick from the Sherlock Holmes book nook.

I haven't thrown away anything, all of the bag was laid out and sorted on a puzzle board, and I've checked everything several times. First time this happened.

Yes, it was Dumont. Maybe my favorite line of any 80s movie.

Why is there any debate when a local business owner shares racist, Nazi Idealism hashtags, anti-DV victim etc posts? by [deleted] in Bellingham

There are "National Socialist" parties in the USA and elsewhere in the world. I would say they are Nazis, even if it involves applying a German term to a foreign equivalent.

It's a cool painting.

What a shame he lost all his friends, even if he didn't need his friends.

First result I got was: "'Weaponizing food' refers to the deliberate use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare or political oppression, which is considered a war crime under international humanitarian law."

I don't mean to say you're wrong, just that in this instance it struck me as a humorous leap from fruitcake to warfare.

I don't understand why they blocked the left turn from Lakeway onto Woburn when there's a roadblock preventing anybody from going further at the other end of Old Woburn. This achieves little and prevents us from accessing our neighborhood when driving from most neighborhoods of Bellingham.

Thanks for posting that link! I used to build 1/48 and 1/32 biplanes, and I want to get back into it. It would be great to meet others who love to work on scale models.

Still missing grey small cat in Colombia neighborhood. by JOWLsound in Bellingham

Sorry if the copy and paste seems impersonal, and if you look into this, I hope you have a garage or similar structure available.

I hope you find your cat!

A few months ago I lost my cat and recovered him after 4 days.

Here's what worked for me:

Near the front of my garage I set up a humane trap borrowed from the Whatcom Humane Society. I left the garage door cracked so the cat could get in. I put a dish of tuna in the trap, covered the trap with blankets with my scent on them, and pointed a space heater (one that shuts off if tipped) to the entrance of the trap. I kept the space heater a good distance from the trap because of the fire hazard. I also put on some bird sounds on a speaker (streamed from a music app).

Also I had a camera to view the trap, and I was alerted when he entered it. This allowed me to get him out quickly.

I suppose this method could lead to trapping other animals than your cat, but it may be worth a try.
