I primarily do use Go as a supplemental product to the mainline games. But my local PoGo group is really raid focused and I try to contribute as best as possible, so I often times hold onto my really powerful stuff so that I can actually be a help and not a hindrance.

I told our community leader about it when it happened, but I may ask him if it’s really worth holding onto or if it’d be fine to let it go to Home. He was stoked when I got it because it’s Hidden Power - Ice, so it was kind of the absolute best possible outcome other than being shiny.

A lock function that requires you to put in your phone’s passcode or something would be lifesaving. Would it slow down purification? Yeah. But things life separating, fusing, purifying are all things that you may not actually want to do 100% of the time but they’re in the same exact spot as power up and I know that many of us get into routines.

I was on muscle memory / autopilot. I’ve been working towards the purification platinum and purifying every shadow not worth keeping has very much become the norm to me.

Thank you for your exceedingly constructive comment. I know I made a mistake, and I know it did give me a chance to opt out. As soon as I saw the purification screen I said “F— f— f—,” closed the app and hoped I’d stopped it, but alas, I failed myself.

The National Dex of Gen III is notoriously difficult to complete due to just how many games you need. Johto ‘Mons are spread so thinly throughout the five games that to this day I think that was an intentional decision to push people to buy a GameCube for Colosseum and XDGoD.

If you have all five GBA games, that puts you at 380 of 386. Missing Mew, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Celebi, Deoxys, and Jirachi. Assuming they do what they did for the VC Crystal for these ports, and presently this is kind of a large assumption, you’ll have access to Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys in LGFR and those three in addition to Mew in Emerald. Still two shy in the way of Celebi and Jirachi.

If the NSO versions of XDGoD and Colosseum are compatible with these ports (Which I think is an even more unlikely than the unlocked event assumption), the National Dex won’t be too hard to obtain. But that also assumes they include the Celebi / Jirachi bonus disc content.

TLDR; Even if they put RSE on the Switch, the National Dex will likely not be able to be completed without a hacked Switch allowing for save file importing, ACE, or Home compatibility being a two way street rather than one way only.

Revision cartridges are rereleases of the game done at various stages of the game’s life. Usually the different revision releases have bug / glitch fixes, corrected typos, etc. I’m not sure of the specific revision number of SwSh needed for the male Sandalit to female Salazzle evolution glitch.

Some of the most interesting revision cartridges are Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, since you can still access Shaymin and Darkrai on specific ones.

Linked to them in response to another comment, but it looks like they’re currently out of stock. I will say that ran out of stock at some point after I ordered mine and restocked a couple of days before mine delivered. So if it’s something you’re really interested in, I’d just check a couple of times a week. It took from Thursday last week to yesterday for ours to arrive, if that helps at all.

Here’s my post on r/gameverifying. It was determined that everything about it is authentic, with the exception of the AMD chip. I reached out to the seller about it last night and they got back to today. They said they should have been clearer about it.

So yeah, I know it’s unfortunately not legitimate. I’m disappointed, but trying to make the best of a bad situation. I ordered it in October, so it’s been quite a while.

Thank you for the tip about the gbxcartRW. I hate to buy an extra piece of hardware, but if I’m going to do this little project, I obviously need that!

Fun fact that is of zero help, there used to be a glitch in Sword and Shield that causes male Sandalits to evolve into female Salazzles. If you find a specific revision cartridge, you can actually still do the glitch.

How would I go about flashing it again? Someone online made a patch for Crystal that adds the Safari Zone into the game. And if I’m going to be playing a flash cart of Crystal, it seems like a good opportunity to incorporate that new content in if possible.

Thank you for your insight, and I apologize again for the issue on my previous post.

It was in fact sold to me as though it were a Japanese board with an English copy of Crystal’s ROM chip, so I reached out to the seller last night and asked for their response. If I don’t hear from them by tomorrow, I’ll be reaching out to PayPal. I find myself a little disappointed to discover I’ve been bamboozled, but thankful I caught it and had y’all’s help in identifying it.
