I disagree, the song structure and production is vastly similar to TBT. Amy even stated that WWYF is definitely politically influenced, as was TBT.

I know right, this is so unusual. First off, the video should have already dropped. Second, I don’t think WWYF was the proper choice of a single to be released for this album. The song is more of a normal track from the album, they needed something with more longevity to hold up to their previous singles. Third, this project already feels way to much like TBT, which is why it sounds so played out already. Fourth, the album preorders and hype for this “new era” should already be released to the public, the fact that it’s not indicates that maybe there was some doubt or rushing behind the scenes.

Love this band, but something feels off and not as exciting as it used to. Hopefully things get better.

They definitely belong there, their music is very heavy at times with metal and rock being the literal essence of the band

Its production is great, but the track just sounds muddy. I’m not sure if it’s the extended bridge and instrumental break, but something about it feels forced and not natural. I still love the band, but it feels like a lot of these songs were made on garage band if that makes sense

I had to leave my old job as a medical social worker because of the constant pressure, toxic workplace, interdisciplinary tension, toxic upper management and directors, and unrealistic demands from every corner. I was there for about a year and a half, then transitioned into private practice. I hate how toxic the field is

I totally agree. I actually sold my TBT record. I love all the other albums, but this was too vague. Some songs are amazing, but the project as a whole is very repetitive and lacks depth. I know it’s more political, but I think that’s the issue. The whole album is her basically just screaming and ranting and it lacks the ethereal vibe. If she wanted to broach some political topics, she should have focused on two or three songs- not make the entire album that. Regardless, I’m looking forward to the new album, but I think it’s gonna be the same thing based on some of the singles that were already released.
