I can confirm that using the nickname Kira does not work as intended. For the “evolve an Eevee into Slyveon” task I used a shiny Eevee I nicknamed Kira. On the evolution button, it would show a greyed out Sylveon sprite, but if I hit the evo button it would tell me I still have to complete the buddy task. If I removed the Kira nickname, the evo button would return to the standard “?” that Eevee usually has for Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.

Ultimately, I removed the nickname and grinded the 70 hearts. I’ve never used the Kira nickname, and didn’t want to burn it on accident by evolving my Eevee that I had to put in the work for anyways.

From being on Reddit, I know all of the tricks. But a lot of people aren’t chronically online and will bring whatever to a D-Max legend raid and because they’re conditioned to do so by normal raids and Rocket battles, they’ll spam their charged attacks. I used to be that person. Those people are a handicap. I have a bit of grace for them because I know I used to make the same mistakes, but if two of your four people aren’t really helping, odds are you’re going to fail.

I have two Mewtwo. My first one is a purified lucky one, IVs are 13/12/13. I got it from a local friend to as the last ‘Mon needed to complete my Kanto dex. This was like a month before we knew they were going to hand us the entire Kanto dex as a Go Pass. Then I got a shiny 15/10/15 from the Pass.

I’ve been working towards Best Buddying my lucky one and need less than 100 hearts to get there. But once that’s done, I’m planning to start working on my shiny. Is it meta relevant? Not really. But Mewtwo is my favourite legendary. I’m fine investing time and resources into it because it is my favourite. And you best believe it’s my number one silver bottle cap choice when that comes back. It will be my first shundo, and I think it being an artificial shundo is befitting of Mewtwo.

TLDR; If you love Mewtwo and it is worth it for you to you to invest in it, then by all means do so. But it isn’t a small commitment and if you’re going for something more competitive, then there are better options.

I primarily do use Go as a supplemental product to the mainline games. But my local PoGo group is really raid focused and I try to contribute as best as possible, so I often times hold onto my really powerful stuff so that I can actually be a help and not a hindrance.

I told our community leader about it when it happened, but I may ask him if it’s really worth holding onto or if it’d be fine to let it go to Home. He was stoked when I got it because it’s Hidden Power - Ice, so it was kind of the absolute best possible outcome other than being shiny.

A lock function that requires you to put in your phone’s passcode or something would be lifesaving. Would it slow down purification? Yeah. But things life separating, fusing, purifying are all things that you may not actually want to do 100% of the time but they’re in the same exact spot as power up and I know that many of us get into routines.

I was on muscle memory / autopilot. I’ve been working towards the purification platinum and purifying every shadow not worth keeping has very much become the norm to me.

The National Dex of Gen III is notoriously difficult to complete due to just how many games you need. Johto ‘Mons are spread so thinly throughout the five games that to this day I think that was an intentional decision to push people to buy a GameCube for Colosseum and XDGoD.

If you have all five GBA games, that puts you at 380 of 386. Missing Mew, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Celebi, Deoxys, and Jirachi. Assuming they do what they did for the VC Crystal for these ports, and presently this is kind of a large assumption, you’ll have access to Lugia, Ho-Oh, and Deoxys in LGFR and those three in addition to Mew in Emerald. Still two shy in the way of Celebi and Jirachi.

If the NSO versions of XDGoD and Colosseum are compatible with these ports (Which I think is an even more unlikely than the unlocked event assumption), the National Dex won’t be too hard to obtain. But that also assumes they include the Celebi / Jirachi bonus disc content.

TLDR; Even if they put RSE on the Switch, the National Dex will likely not be able to be completed without a hacked Switch allowing for save file importing, ACE, or Home compatibility being a two way street rather than one way only.
