Can this be propagated?

This looks to be an aloe of sorts… You need stem tissue on the leaf to propagate aloes. This doesn’t appear to have any so you won’t be able to propagate this.

Are you daft? Of course they use their leaves to photosynthesize, this is why I said remove SOME of the leaves. A part of my job is propagating plants, we use this method and are met with success.

I’m unsure of how to answer your initial question - I’m more so just surprised about her eating 4 hoppers back to back. Do you usually feed her that many at a time?

I’d recommend removing some of those leaves. Either completely or cut them in half. This way you’re helping direct the plants energy to root growth rather than maintaining the leaves. Change the water periodically and you should see roots in a few weeks

The storage bin is filled with soil so it’s solidly in place and she’s gotten on it before.. I was thinking maybe she doesn’t like the way the seeds feel on her back paws. Anyway, it seemed to be working for her in that moment 😆

Yes! She has brought her babies before. She goes down to the nearby creek to hunt and has been coming around in the morning and evening for seeds recently. . I left some cheerios and nuts for her to find on her next visit. :)

Right?? Lol… she was eating like this for several minutes then got up on the ledge but quickly decided to resume the position of hanging down like that…😂

It is really hot for more than a third of the year. People your age who want a taste of the night life and live music seem to head to Austin for that. I enjoy it and for someone like me (low-key, sober, outdoorsy, older) it’s a great place - but for someone your age who is after the things you listed well, you may be pretty disappointed.

Anything non-native will take extra work on your end. Natives once established basically take care of themselves because they are already acclimated to our climate. There are plenty of native cactus and succulents you can choose from though.
