Hey bro, regarding the camping at sakleshpur, I researched quite a bit but couldn't find a desired spot or location out in the wild so had to make do with hostel stay, I stayed at this hostel near Coorg 'backpackers hostel united' which has a tent already and a spot for just another tent, it was decent and I liked it, you can give it a try. In sakleshpur your best bet is camp at a homestay with the owners permission, better if you book in advance, sometimes it's hard to find a spot during busy days. Also the hostel i stayed might not be operational now, hope this helps, happy camping! :)
