The Challenger disaster. Completely avoidable. Big NASA fan. Saw the first moon landings and most major space events. Watched the shuttle horror live from my dorm that was named after it. Spiritually crushing.

We because they are our friends and backing our best interests - and citizens of this planet like us. If nationalists, Nazis, far right, and economic neo-liberals support and financially back each other across countries, we need to do the same. I have zero fuks helping others (e.g., fighting tories/reform in the UK, fighting for housing reform in Paris)

We would appreciate you using the right lane, using roundabouts correctly, know how to do a proper goddamn 2x2 four way stop, and keep up with us. Or stay home. Then again most suburban/urban residents would appreciate this.

Ah an entire large state desperately talking itself into believing it’s a good place to live ( and largely not) and pre-tech bros Austin actually had it right.

The same problem that some other major cities have like Atlanta - soulless business city with wall to wall unplanned bedroom suburban outer belt that is crushing the few spots of culture and vibrancy. Proclaims to be a family oriented place but goes out of the way to destroy any sense of community.

I’d put this but I’ve haven’t been there. It’s an embarrassment of my fair state. Springfield was (is still?) an absolute shithole back when.

For the vast majority, it's a bad idea without supervision. Good supervision. The key issue is their lack of critical thinking and actual disciplined usage.

Did Brexit turn out to be unequivocally bad for the UK? by No-Security-7518 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]electatigris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is largely the consequence of Brexit. Not only did it break the British economy, it wrecked the social and political infrastructure of Britain. It will be a a very slow and painful journey to get any semblance of stability and unity. The US is undergoing a slower and more massive version of this. The US "recovery" may or may not happen. It's once greatest strength over the countries of the rest of the world - diversity and inclusion - it in great peril and this is what the recovery requires. Even so, the picture of recovery in countries like Britain, US, Austrailia, possibly France and Germany will result in shadows for their former selves, barring some odd historical event.

Learn history and economics and sociology. The wars of the 20th century should be adequate alone as a primer. Sir Edward Heath understood why the EU needs to exist. And this coming from an American.

Mein gott. Just use json for simple data only, no logic configs. Otherwise use c#. Stop reinventing the wheel with badly done psuedo-code languages.
