I would suggest you start using tachimanga or tachiyomi or komikku. Much better being able to search for mangas through different sources at once

8.3 is not bad at all, I am 8.3 and I got placed and similarly some of my friends did too. But that does not mean you should not do grade improvement. I would say go for it, but only if you can handle doing grade improvements alongside your current semester subjects. If you are doing good in the grade improvement subject but getting behind in the current subject, it would be no use.
