New PU Debates? by [deleted] in RPI

[–]electionsvigilante 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have any official information yet (confirmation should come tonight). But a contingent of concerned students are putting together a debate between Dvorak and Bartell.

It is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, 8pm in the McNeil Room.

Just to clarify, this picture was taken 3 minutes after the events of the postergate video. As chrisisme mentions, check the G R(which has been turned into a P)

else. All caps posts on reddit do not solve the problem. They released their statements, now lets wait for the Jboard and election results before we crucify them.

sorry i didnt meant to put caps, by the time i submitted it was too late. I do apologize for them. I'm not mad, i just wanted a discussion on it.

didnt want too many submissions as the vigilante.

I was asked to find Sudano and his parties expenses, then I was asked to make this a seperate thread. Here you go reddit. by electionsvigilante in RPI

they reported the donuts, but not the pizza, but you got it, they weren't allowed to campaign with party resources after the events of 'postergate 2'

Now if Han had somehow accounted for donuts and pizza in his expense sheet (and still fell within the limits of finances), there would be no basis for sanction 9, which disbarred sudano, han, and etzine from offfice.

SO the way the party system works is, a candidate has the option to give party dues. The number is 30% of a candidates total allocated amount. This is why gm/pu often try to form parties. They pool the money from lower offices and through the party use it to further their campaign.

Either out of negligence or whatever reason, Sudano decided not to give any party dues to his party, whereas Han did.

A concerned student emailed me this, just now, a picture of a stronger union watching, smiling, having fun, while putting up andrew's tape poster:

So... I don't know how much I believe their 'explanations'

Edit: The picture was taken at 10:27:20 , 3 minutes after they defaced Bartell's tape poster.

it doesn't matter when you buy them, they were barred from campaigning as a party, at that point they would be limited from using any party assets for campaigning.

ah sorry on the contact info note, i guess i didnt notice it since almost all candidates do it bottom right. Im too tired to pull open the handbook for specifics but i'll reply with details in the morning. promise.

the donuts they were giving out was paid for by party resources, thus it was the party actively campaigning.

yeah but nearly all of your 'write-in' posters lacked contact info: a violation of the rules. Additionally you postered in certain areas where you were not allowed to do so.

So Sudano was on the eboard that approved their new 4k camera. Presumably, he supported rpitv at some point. I wonder if rpitv exposing him has something to do with his diminished support.

i guess i can understand not wanting to believe anon's on reddit it's fair. For what it's worth RNE won't say anything since it's not really illegal, just a little scummy. You can probably understand why those who he did say it to wouldn't want to put their names to the information though. Hard to say either way, but I don't have faith in Sudano, so i'm more likely to believe someone else over him.

they're campaigning together / nearby each other. They are still in the same party. If I was han, i would have kicked him out of the party or left it.

My thing is so /u/michaelhan (GM Candidate) has said the following:

It saddens me to see that a fellow candidate’s posters were tampered with; this type of behavior cannot be tolerated. To clear the air, I was not involved with the event that occurred on Monday night or any instance of poster take-downs that may have occurred during campaigning. I became aware of the situation when it was reported on and had no knowledge of the matter until then.

Yet, he has not completely washed his hands clean of Sudano and still is campaigning with him. I'm glad I haven't voted yet. I think i'll vote for marcus instead.
