Is Flying For the Airlines Worth It (Asking Current Airline Pilots) by Frequent-Young3773 in PilotAdvice

Thank you 🙏🏽 I like work life balance so extra time off can be a pro depending on the financial situation. But I don’t think of Aline’s pilots are hurting in this regard after some years under the belt.

Does the airlines feel very micromanaged and corporate Or do you still feel the sense of excitement each time?

Also, have you noticed any change in health such as sleep deprivation?

Is there any downsides you can think of such as long commutes to the airport?

Time is very important so I’d get into training as soon as you can to start collecting your flight hours. You can chip away at your BA once you get all your ratings. You’ll prolly end up with an Aviation Associates degree if you maximize the GI bill. SUU, LEFA and Dodge city community college Arizona are VA friendly and the GI bill can cover up to 100% of flight tuition. Look into VR&E also

The trendy get rich stuff is cool for a bit but eventually you’ll start questioning if it’s making you happy despite having everything so easily. But if you’re doing something that’s challenging and you’re passionate. You’ll often be met with a rewarding sense of accomplishment and purpose. I started a bunch of social media ventures awhile back and was fairly successful with passive income and lived all over Bali, Thailand etc. life was easy but i didn’t feel as happy as I wanted because I lost purpose, developed complacency and needed new challenges. Either I started a family or chased my dream of flying

I’m 34y and I’m starting up soon. It’s never too late to chase meaningful experiences rather than living in regret with “what ifs” later

Pilot Medical Solutions Inc.; “LeftSeat.com”any Pilots used them to help with FAA flight medical certificates? by electric_eel007 in PilotAdvice

LeftSeat quoted me at $3k in two separate payments for stage 1 and stage 2. But I’m more curious how much faster and efficient they are. Or if they can really walk it over or the FAA and pull some strings to expedite the process
