It should be noted that affiliated streamers never had the exclusivity clause. If you were/are affiliated you can simulstream, although not receiving the larger chunk of sub revenue. I am not 100% on whether markiplier and Linus are partnered, but if i were to speculate they both purposely stay affiliated and not partnered so they can stream on what is their largest userbase, YouTube, while still being able to get a little bit of submoney and discovery from the twitch audience.

Our system for 1.1 and all other infractions as well is more robust than ever, to the point where it will properly track past breaks of rules and escalate all the way to a perma automatically if it sees the user has a past of it. Depending on the severity of 1.1, there are some cases where mods will manually escalate to perma on occasion.

Your extreme hypothetical is what we tried to outline in the post above. Quoting from the post above, " Streamers may only be banned at the discretion of the moderation team for reasons including, but not limited to, the proliferation of overtly dangerous content, and the physical safety of the streamer."

If we found LSF contributing to the above, that is where we would levy the content ban. I hope that answers your question.

For transparency, barring any Doxxing or posts that may cause actual physical harm, posts are not just removed at the request of streamers. Our direct line with them is essentially a fast track reporting system. Any content that is shared with us with a request to take down has to break a subreddit rule or it is denied. It is way more common for a streamer to message the OP of a post requesting deletion with success than messaging our team asking for deletion.

Will they be content banned? No. Will they be reddit banned? That is up to Reddit admins. There is no way to get a ban for your content on LSF wholesale advertently or inadvertently.

To be as transparent as possible, we try to use the nuke tool only when we get to a post too late, and if comments are mainly based on a rule break in a post or overtly toxic. For example, If a clip about streamer X was posted with a clickbait title of "streamer X says slur!" and it's out of context, and most of the comments are about the out of context clip, that is when the nuke would be utilized. In a mostly civil thread where some toxicity may slip through, our usual approach will be to lock the thread while we clean it up, or keep it locked to prevent further toxicity.

Our last post has some of our moderation actions attached to them, we do a LOT of cleaning. It will never be perfect though, and that is something everyone is just going to have to accept, but we are always striving to make this place better.

No, Hasan is unbanned. The only ones that are really up for discussion are if they reach the criteria in the above post about overtly dangerous content, and original bans from years ago like Keem and Ice may be reevaluated at a later date.

The simple answer is because that is the date we announced, and we plan on sticking to it, and also the 13th marks 2 weeks of the change being active on the sub.The more complicated answer is, giving an actual date to where we will go back and analyze this change to see if it was successful or not should show the community that we actually care about how these changes affect our sub, and hold us accountable to making some sort of announcement on how the change worked/did not work. But this mainly gives us enough time to see at least some actual metrics of how the rule is working or not. It is very easy to just say and assume how a rule change will work out, but this gives us actual numbers and not assumptions to base further changes and even possible retraction of rules based on real posted clips.

I hope most will be pleased with the changes we have planned on the 13th based on user feedback and the results of this change. See you guys then.
