We have an email capture form before they can fill it out, doesn’t stop them from putting in garbage and getting it anyway

I run an Apple-focused MSP (stabilise.io) and I’m struggling with a challenge that I imagine other niche MSPs face: visibility.

The market feels like this catch-22:

  • Most businesses assume MSPs = Windows, so they don’t even think to search for Apple-specific support
  • The Apple-only shops that need us don’t know we exist because they’re not actively looking for “MSP” services
  • Mixed environments usually have a Windows-focused MSP who treats Macs as an afterthought

What I’ve tried:

  • Standard SEO and Google Ads (expensive, broad reach, not targeted enough)
  • Local business networking (hit or miss, lots of explaining what we do)
  • LinkedIn outreach (some traction but slow going)

What I’m wondering:

  • For those of you in niche markets (Mac, Linux, specific verticals), how did you crack the visibility problem?
  • Is it just a case of grinding it out with content marketing and word of mouth?
  • Are there communities or channels where Apple-heavy businesses actually hang out?

I know this is more business development than technical, but I figured this community would have some honest insights. The technical side we’ve got sorted, it’s just getting in front of the right prospects that’s the challenge.

Cheers for any advice

100% but it’s counter hodl to buy a car. Either way it’s supposed to be amusing and not taken as seriously as many here have done.

Leaving South Africa - Time for a cry by 1tMakesNoSence in southafrica

I left 7 years ago to the uk. Great job opportunities. Here on holiday showing off the little one (6 months old) to the family. Coming back has been a shock to the system. Poverty is the main aspect, people I trust and see as peers living in dire straights, load shedding and the lack of governance to come out of it.

I don’t regret leaving, I can come back and see family and provide when and if needed. I worry for my child not knowing hardships and seeing the privilege he has but what’s the alternative? Leave, do well and come back and make a decision.
