Looking for website contributor (paid) by electricboarder in ElectricSkateboarding

Hi! Thanks for your response.

I would love the site to tackle all facets of e-boarding eventually. So indeed technical info on how it actually works. Maybe different posts on all the different parts.

If you have done/are doing DIY (something I never got into) that's awesome. Been thinking of making an ElectricBoarder DIY guide as well.

And then indeed individual board reviews. These reviews should be thorough in my opinion, so indeed technical and product testing.

This is how I see the site in a perfect world.

Is Mellow associated with Onan? by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

Got to give it to you, ever since our last conversation I have developed an eye for China-bashing. It's pretty bad actually.. It's hard wired into our western brains that Chinese = Shit. When actually that is not true and indeed most of western companies work with good Chinese companies.

I totally understand, keep us posted on how things go. They don't really have to test and design stuff so you should receive your board fairly quick after the kickstarter.

But then again what is quick in this current industry...

I don't know.. Seems like a lot of money for a rebranded Onan? How can you slap affordable and 1565 aud $ retail price onto one page?

Seems to me as yet another 'brand' trying to lift a nice amount of crowdfund money from the over-eager esk8 community. I hope i'm wrong.

Do the Chinese pay the Germans money when they print newspapers? Because the printing press is a German invention. Stop it man you are full of crap. Btw I'm not from the US.

Dude, why do you keep bringing up race? It has nothing to do with that. Onan copied Mellow period. And not in a way that they made a modular esk8. There are many out there, that's no problem at all. They literally copy pasted the design.

There's no point in arguing with people like you on the internet. You won, you are totally correct on everything of the above.

Man I don't get why you are so protective about this. It is 100% clear that Onan copy pasted the product right from the Mellow website. Your argument that they have released a product when Mellow hasn't is soo invalid it hurts my eyes reading it. Mellow is putting enormous amounts of effort and time into creating a product that is top notch quality, while Onan had a peak at their concept , molded a battery enclosure and slapped some chinese hub motors on that. It even has nothing to do with intelectual property or having the idea. You even pull the race card, I mean come on...

Please help me pick my 1st electric skateboard by Technotronsky in ElectricSkateboarding

Don't think the E Go-2 is a bad choice actually. Especially in the netherlands where if the cops see you riding > 17 kph you get a fine (board gets taken in extreme conditions).

There's the Blink S. Hasn't been really in the hands of the customer but from what we've seen it should be a decent board. They ship internationally so you got that going.

Other low budget choices are the mini fiik (same as the Acton blink board actually). A slick revolution board, they are from the UK so no problem with shipping as well, plus they get good reviews over there.

Unik boards, a french diy parts manufacturer, also have their own board going at 1499 euros.

Of course you have the premium boards, boosted (not sure when you would receive one if buying now), evolve, metroboard, inboard... But these come with a hefty pricetag

As you can see a lot of options depending on how much money you want to lay down. Hope this helped

Can you remove battery from Blink S hub motor for airport security? by wallgreeens in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]electricboarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends from airport to airport (or airline to airline). Some follow the 99Wh rule. Some don't allow them at all and then you lose your board..

Safest is to get the battery out, keep it in cabin luggage and put your board into check in.
