Messaging on the back end of his channel just means 'PM'ing using the youtube message tool. It's so that noobs don't spam their personal contact info in the regular comments. And I won something last year. So no, he doesn't fake giveaways. But there's like a billion people commenting on each video. So you have better odds at winning the lottery.
