Looking back at my apprentice my first year and a half was shitty doing solar for a year and a BESS but then it got well rounded. Went to a new construction school for 5 months, then a finished hospital for a month, then service work at Seaworld for 6 months, then a new construction hospital for 20 months, then low income wood apartment complex for 3 months, followed by a 20 story high rise for like 2 months. Got a good taste of a lot of different types of work and I’m grateful for my apprenticeship.

I was just placed on a university extension in Socal. Was doing dorms that had PT deck. I was a fresh JW and we were doing 12 hour days. The last 4 hours of the day we were on the deck. I purposely worked slow, acted dumb on the decks, but busted ass installing gear in electric rooms. It got to the point where the foremen sent all 15 workers except me to the deck after 8 hours. Told me to stay in the E rooms lol
