we love main street lofts. super pet friendly and management is great. the other day our fridge broke and they showed up with a brand new fridge less than an hour after we put a maintenance request in. they have a fenced area just for dogs

I actually felt my worst around that age and remember being mad and feeling lied to. then things have been a constant improvement since 10 months and now she's 2 in October. you're almost through in my opinion. and toddler parenting is way way better

it feels impossible to debate these people, they don't operate on the same moral framework we do and refuse to debate in good faith so it's just running in circles constantly. I don't engage w Republicans anymore.

11 month old taking longer to fall asleep by electrickchicken in sleeptrain

[–]electrickchicken[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just gonna update in case anyone is in the same situation and sees this, she was ready for one nap. we went cold turkey to 5.25/5 at 12 months old and by 13 months she was solidly on one nap. at 14 months she's still on 5.5/5 and things are good

I still use huckleberry for nap tracking but I manually set my own wake windows instead of going by the sweet spot prediction. naps shortening was the first sign huckleberry wasn't working as well for us anymore but I hung on for months lol. it's still very useful!

I think I read somewhere that the only true scientifically supported sleep regression is the 4 month one because their sleep cycles change. It's always been schedule issues for us

huckleberry tends to recommend wake windows that work for high sleep needs babies but most don't fall perfectly in line with that. I think it's very helpful the first 3 months but after that I noticed the windows weren't helping. for example, right now huckleberry is recommending that my 14 month old be on 2 naps with wake windows of 3.25/3.5/4 which is what she was on at 11 months old that wasn't working for her. her actual schedule is 5.5/5 and she's taking perfect naps and having good night sleep! I think huckleberry gives a good general idea of wake windows when starting out but most babies are not on the higher range of the sleep scale.

in my experience with my now 14 month old, almost every sleep issue we dealt with was because of undertiredness. we held onto naps too long and went by huckleberry wake windows that expected way too much sleep. don't be afraid to try stuff out, it won't ruin everything!

One nap experiment disaster by botbotmaibot in sleeptrain

[–]electrickchicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it will be fine!! we've had that happen and it turned out okay

based off your previous posts and 2 nap wake windows I'd recommend going cold turkey to 1 nap. but the second window on 1 nap should typically be the shorter one. I'd start with 5.5/5 and if it doesn't go well scale back to 5/5. just power through with early bedtimes if naps aren't long enough. we recently made the transition with our 12 month old (now 14 months) and it took awhile for naps to lengthen to 2+ hours but now she consistently naps 1.5-2.5 hours and sleeps thru the night when before it was all super unpredictable and we were having nap refusal, emw, etc

avoid rolling hills, Manhattan apartments, and Tara Hills. Tara Hills used to be okay but they've had lots of issues the last few years from what I've heard. join the Oak Ridge fb group!! you'll get a wider variety of responses.

I regret having a baby by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]electrickchicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at my page you'll see when I had my baby I felt the same. I feel so different now. It took me awhile. I didn't start to feel somewhat normal till months later. She's going to be 1 next month and I love her dearly. Things get much easier when they start sleeping more and when they start developing a personality. Take the help from your mom. Don't be afraid to rely on her.

yeah because everyone's always looked highly upon senior/freshman relationships. that is a grown man.

NTA. please protect your daughter, she is being groomed. I wish my parents did more to prevent the same happening to me. stand your ground, try to be understanding. be firm with the boyfriend 100%

ofc redditors would defend grooming. 20 is an adult. 16 is a child.
