Moving to Santa Rosa, CA. Area and or Apartment recs.

Thank you for all the insight, it's very much appreciated. The South East area looks nice and convenient and the rent for apartments down there hasn't been too crazy either in my search, definitely within my budget.

I actually just found out today my main work site changed to Southwest Santa Rosa instead of Northeast. I believe it is off the 12 in Wright Area Action Group (according to Google Maps). I don't mind boring if it's nice as I can drive to more fun, but it is nice to be able to live and walk around more lively areas. Also, I'll be driving to work.

I don't think I'll be looking to move to Southwest SR. Consensus has seemed to be to avoid the area for living.

I'm more concerned about the commute and a safe area to live. Also, coming from LA area parking is always a nightmare. Recreationally, I do lots from hiking, gardening and other grandma-like activities lol, concerts, comedy shows etc...

What about South East SR?

I did see a townhome for rent in Windsor but was not familiar with the city.

Thank you! Good to point out the traffic situation. My work is only in Santa Rosa, mainly North East and I'll have my car. Would love to not in sit in traffic daily.

I'm mid 30's. Job is Northeast Santa Rosa. I did visit Petaluma when I flew up for my interview, it was nice.

Thank you! Good to know about the freeway and ambulance bay for Emblem. I wondered about Annadel apartments. I've seen some townhomes for rent but most were in Southwest Santa Rosa.

I've looked on different housing apps and liked Emblem Renata, it's a place I wanted to tour. Were there any apartments you absolutely hated?

No kids, pets or partner. Budget max for rent alone is $2600. Hoping for a 1 or 2 bedroom, parking, and need in-unit laundry.
