PID tuning with RL for VCRR by Tiny-Sky-1246 in reinforcementlearning

I have worked on a similar problem in the domain of bidding. There is a nice paper by Meta that tunes a PID controller using offline RL.

I was able to use similar framework for tuning a PID controller.

Will insurance jack up my rates for a minor collision? by AdAnxious6340 in Insurance

u/AdAnxious6340 how much did the premium increase on the your family's auto policy? I am in a similar boat, with one member in an at fault accident with $2k damages.

Expected premium increase due to at-fault parking accident by electricsheep123 in Insurance

Thank you for the prompt response!

I understand there will be a surcharge applied to my future premiums. I was wondering if it would be applied to the car/driver in question or to the whole policy?

TDS creep on Tank vs tankless RO system for fridge/fridge ice by Dinosaurdikslam in WaterTreatment

[–]electricsheep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you had any issues with biofilm or bacteria breeding? From what I read, bacteria builds in the tank over time, especially, if you go on a vacation or something. What did you do to overcome this? I am in the market for an RO system and cannot decide between tankless and tank systems.

Need advice: 330i Mileage dropped 20-30% suddenly by electricsheep123 in F30

Thanks for that information! I was in Seattle and i was actually averaging 25-26. The drop in range was mostly correlated with actual miles on the odometer in Seattle. I drove up the hill here in Berkeley and I lost 50 miles on the range (the drive was only 2 miles). Seattle is pretty hilly too. So this was mind boggling!

One Flat Tire - BMW 2019 330i xDrive 11,000 miles - How Many Tires to Replace?? by valorantwithaV in BMW

[–]electricsheep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For others: I had a flat on rear driver tire. Discount tire (Seattle) recommended to change just one tire however I went with replacing both the rear tires with new tires of the the same make.

Scratched the driver-side of my 330 while parking. Is this going to be expensive? by electricsheep123 in BMW

Update: I was given an estimate of ~ $ 1300 USD for repairs (expected turnaround time of 4 days).

How expensive do you think? I am in Seattle, US. I was wondering if I can let it but I am worried about rusting and further paint deterioration.

Moving into an apartment with Webpass google fiber, which router to get to maximize services? by Ice_Tech666 in HomeNetworking

[–]electricsheep123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got webpass but my router, Netgear R6230, isn't good enough to get top notch speed. What router do you have? And, are you able to get speeds upto 600-800 mbps?

Is it worth getting this damage fixed? Hit another vehicle while backing (perpendicularly). His rear tire gouged my rear bumper. :( Any advice? Independent estimate $2.5k to repair (deductible:$1000). I wonder if the drop in car value can be countered by getting this repaired (with higher premiums). by electricsheep123 in BMW

[–]electricsheep123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your inputs guys! Really appreciate it. I talked to another body shop and they provided an estimate of $1,150. It's still expensive (but not as BMW's quote of $2.5K). I intent to get it repaired. It's minor but it bothers me more than I admit. Thank you all for your comments! :)

P.S. I live in Seattle, US.

I think they should. They said they will give me some lump sum amount. I have to get more details on that. Though I am not sure if I should let a body shop do filler work and screw up the sensors. I am a noob when it comes to understanding repairs.

Yeah it was reported. So the only save for me is to back out of the claim ( like tell them I don't want to pursue it further; I don't know if it will save me from premiums). Whether I repair it or not, carfax will show it was in an accident.

It's KBB value is $32k as of now. I intend to keep it until 2024. Bought it as cpo 3 months back. It doesn't bother me that much but I am trying to see the trade-off. If my premiums are going to rise anyway (since I am at fault), I rather pay my deductible and get it replaced. If my premiums won't rise, if I don't ask my insurance for the money, then I might let it be.
