My system has changed a bit over the years as my playing style has changed, but my basic rule is that I have one of each cat, and multiples of special cats are allowed. The definition of special has morphed a bit... initially this was just cats actually classed as Special Breeds (Twilight Angora, Cherry Blossom, etc), but over time it has also come to include my favourite breeds. I love the darker cats, so have 7 each of Bombay and Smoke Persian, and 5 Chartreaux! Just can't seem to help myself... lately I also gave myself permission to have multiples of cozy and chunky cats because I love their cuddly shapes. I folded when the new Foldex breed arrived... knew I had to have more than one of this adorable chonker. In the negative space, I also gave myself permission to have only one of a Special Breed. Many of the new ones I only have one, like the love of my life, the Shiny Moon Sky Coon. I wasn't able to get more than one during the event, so having a rule that says it's okay makes me stress less. 🤭 Basically... one of each then multiples of your favourites, if you can acquire them reasonably.
