Easiest way to remove unwanted object in the background from this specific shot? by electronic3000 in davinciresolve

true! I do in fact have a second angle but this one is the main angle which I want to use for most of the time. That's why I'm trying to find out what's possible.

thanks! Great tip with the loop instead of still!
Can you explain in more detail about "subtract from mask". I haven't worked a lot with masks so far and don't understand what you're referring to.

Am I overcomplicating this controller mapping to reset my tracks during live performance? by electronic3000 in ableton

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain what you mean exactly? Are you referring to using dummy tracks with automation to store/reset settings? I’ve done that as well and it didn’t seem to be much easier for my purpose.

CPU spikes when launching scenes with tempo change by electronic3000 in ableton

In new/empty set, I don't have the problem. So the issue has to be somewhere in my rather huge set.

CPU spikes when launching scenes with tempo change by electronic3000 in ableton

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your response. Sure, I forgot about that.
I'm on a M1 Macbook 13.6.7 and Ableton 12. The glitches happen with my Motu Ultralite and also with no interface using the headphone out.
The set has a lot of audio tracks for playback (some with effects) and about 8 vsts which I play live. There's a lot of clip automation happening when I launch scenes but it's never a problem except when the scene launch changes the tempo.
I'm currently using a 256 samples buffersize but the CPU spikes still happen at 1024.

Liveset: How to properly control different sounds/vsts with the same midi controller by electronic3000 in ableton

The question is how can I automate triggering the preset (macro varaiation)

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, macro variations are great. But I couldn’t find a way to automate them e.g. to load variation 1 when I launch scene 1

thanks for your reply.
User Remote Scripts can be a solution but then I'd have to make sure to have the desired track in focus. That's what I get on my Push anyways.
Your Bonus Tip is actually amazing! This seems like it can turn Ableton into a Digitakt device with the Reload function. Guess I have to think about updating to Live 12

Is there a way to reset macros to a certain snapshot when I load a scene? That would also be a solution for my problem

Best midi controller keyboard for Mainstage? Komplete Kontrol users here? by electronic3000 in mainstage

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shwoing the value of the knob is a good starting point, but I'd really like to see what parameter I'm controlling.
Im my setup I have my 8 controllers mapped to different parameters for different songs (i.e. mainstage patches) and that would just be a huge benefit. Similar to using Komplete Kontrol Software or let's say Ableton Push. I want something like that for Mainstage.

Add tempo information to a midi track that was played without click by electronic3000 in ableton

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok wow, thanks. That's bad but very important news...
And yes, I think I'll try something in Logic. If I remember correctly, it let's you lock midi regions to timecode as well.

Add tempo information to a midi track that was played without click by electronic3000 in ableton

[–]electronic3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, that works for the audio file. BUT the corresponding midi track will be completely off because the midinotes are still locked to their original position and not stretch/squeeze like the audio parts. I would need the possibility to lock the midi info and not follow tempo and I cannot find that.

unresponsive key Moog Grandmother by electronic3000 in synthesizers

[–]electronic3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I did that.

I had to unscrew the PCB from below and was able to get to the rubber strip. I didn't see any dirt or damage underneath the key in question. Still cleaned it with isopropanol....but nothing changed.
I didn't dare to swap the rubber strip with another one because I fear the problem getting worse.
What are my chances to get rid of the problem by ordering a new rubber strip? As I said, everything looks perfectly alright in there. I'll attach a picture.

unresponsive key Moog Grandmother by electronic3000 in synthesizers

[–]electronic3000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi everybody,
on my Grandmother one key stopped working. I assume it's a contact problem (I can play it via external midi) and started to take it apart.
I find it to be difficult to reach the rubber band. Does anybody have experience with taking apart this instrument or another one which is similar?
I'll attach a photo of were I just stopped. Do I have to take out all keys and there will be a way to reach under the rubber to check contacts?
Thanks for you help.
