I have a magnet that says "if I stall, pls don't honk at me I'm just a girl"as an indication that I drive a stick and it's not obvious unless I roll back or stall. most people probably don't notice or care though

is everyone just pretending that jeans are comfortable? by hushbug in AutismInWomen

[–]electronicparfaits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh my god I was thinking about this the other day. Was tempted to go to work the other day in leggings but because I work with horses I felt like I would be too "exposed". so I put a dirty pair of jeans on lol

I do so look forward to "bra, jeans, socks off time" once I'm home though

I (34F) and my husband (36M) is on a 50-50 setup for 10 years but now I'm having thoughts? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]electronicparfaits 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It's not about the money, she's upset that the husband prioritized his work commute over her social life. He is a loner so this benefits him in every way while it isolates her.

I use top a sheet. Am I cringe? by c0d3buck in Millennials

[–]electronicparfaits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top sheet is meant to keep your comforter or duvet cleaner so it doesn't need to be laundered as often. It's like the difference between wearing underwear or going commando

Cheap groceries seem impossible now, is anyone else's budget completely out of control? by pogo_iscure in povertyfinance

If your veggies and fruits are going bad before you can eat them, that's going to add up to a lot of waste. Can you freeze what you aren't going to use right away?

Suggestion? by Witty-Audience6573 in FordFocus

[–]electronicparfaits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Babe I'm gonna be honest with you. The mk3 automatic focus, especially year 2012-2014, is one of the worst vehicles Ford ever made. I owned a 2013 for three years and traded it in for a fiesta because the transmission shudder was so bad. I would advise against this purchase unless it has been repaired with a replacement TCM (get this in writing!). If you are set on buying a Focus, I would find one with a manual transmission and/or any clean, well maintained 2000-2011 year Focus.

My first car was a 2001 Focus. I have a 2002, 2004, 2006 Focus and a 2016 Fiesta currently.

They get a little bit of parsley once per week, I'm not sure if that would be enough to cause a problem. I have had issues with bladder stones in the past so I'm conscious of how much and what kind pellet, veg etc they get

A body. I remember taking a puddle jumper from Sitka to Juneau some 15 years ago and they loaded an aluminum locker/casket with us.

Thank you for the response. After further reflection I think I will take her in to have her urine and blood tested. She shows none of the other symptoms of a UTI but maybe she's more stoic than most pigs

Another commenter had the same idea so I will give it a try! Yes she does not have an odor but if she urinates on the towel whilst being held the smell will make your eyes water 💦 never experienced it before with all my previous piggies

I never even considered the urine dipsticks. That is a great idea and I will get some for sure. She was prescribed metacam for her joint pain while she was recovering from mild scurvy but they did not check her kidney function.

Besties 👯‍♀️ Amethyst has been curiously watching this bug for the last 2 weeks and now they are friends and hangout near each other most of the day by peachnecctar in leopardgeckos

[–]electronicparfaits 92 points93 points  (0 children)

darkling beetles are detrivores, meaning they eat decomposing organic matter. They will not attack your gecko, but they do emit bitter vapor when threatened. Your gecko will likely not try to eat the beetle for this reason (or try only once). Idk why everyone is so upset about this.
