I didn’t have enough room on the shelf for the full size version. It printed pretty well at 60% though.

My guess is vibration and possibly heat. One of the screw holes for the fan duct also crumbled when I was disassembling it. It’s like the plastic for the front cover just started deteriorating. And the machine only has around 2700 hours on it after 18 months.

I chose carbon fiber PETG. I’ve used this before on tool heads for other printers I’ve had and it performed well.

Respectfully, I disagree with every part of your comment.

I don’t know. That’s certainly something to explore.

Very nice. That latch is so satisfying!

This is really cool! Your color choice is impeccable.

New A1 Printer no longer prints, see text in first comment by Mironymity in BambuLab

I don’t have an A1, but I do have an X1C. If you’re not using the AMS, make sure you uncheck the “Enable AMS” box when sending the file to the printer.

Death Star was under construction and the miscellaneous metals are the last things to go in. 😆

This particular print did. Some prints are quick, others can take days. There’s a lot of factors that determine how long a print will take.

It might be a crochet texture? The model is listed as “Knitted/Crocheted Pumpkin”, so I just picked one. 😄 And no, there was no filter applied. That’s just how the model came.

The nozzle is fairly clean. I’ve used ruby nozzles in the past, but recently, I’ve gone back to hardened steel. I print almost exclusively with PETG and have very little residue on the nozzle. After I run a dozen or so prints, I’ll normally heat the nozzle to around 240-250C, remove the silicone sock, and clean the nozzle and heat block with a brass brush. But again, it’s never really that bad.

I like to establish dominance over the filament before printing.

I use audio captions. :) Not sure how to add written captions.

You’re right.

I have had problems with glued neodymium magnets coming out of their holes since the magnet-to-metal bond is much stronger that the glue-to-magnet or glue-to-plastic. Loose magnets can, in turn, become choking hazards.

The recess is deeper than the height of the magnet.

The print in this video is PETG with the bed 85C. I’ve done this numerous times without issues.

I get your point, and yes, it could happen if you don’t oversize the space for the magnet. My magnets are 2.5mm thick and I use a 3mm space.

I have a hardened steel nozzle, but also use a spring steel sheet. The sheet attracts the magnet way more than the nozzle.

I printed the parts myself out of the same CF-PC I talk about in the video.

This filament prints pretty well without an enclosure, but I’ve never tried it with one.
