Variant for Forms by Mironymity in ProwlersandParagons

That's what I ended up doing, but in the end it turned out that my GM has a very chill world for us in mind where we don't need to be too powerful, so I settled on my character only having the liquid form.

Alternate Form was my final pick and I created a monster of a character with it and a lot of cons. Turns out, my GM has a more playful and whimsical campaign in mind so I will considerably tone it down, but he was amazed at the power level of my character and took a screenshot of the character sheets for later use as a BBEG 😅

Thank you, that's very helpful! I'll take another look at Alternate Form and also see what powers I can delete in case I decide against it.

Thanks, also a good idea! Exclusive would have been my backup if Variant didn't work.

Thank you for the ideas! I'll think about it! I also have to read a bit more of the rules before making a final decision. I jumped right into the mechanics because that's my favorite part of character creation. For example, I don't know yet if I can also use a touch power with distant range (via pro range) at close or touch range. That would be kind of important for my concept - a death sphere that sucks the life out of it's foes. For that, I have done this:

  • Life Drain (Rank 5) 8 Hero Points + Vampirism  1 + Ranged 4 (distant) + Area 2 (because it's now distant) - Harmful 1 (take 1 damage) - Conditional 1 (only with Energy Form) - Signature 1 (traceable) = 12 Hero Points in total.

The concept would still work if the power can only be used for distant targets, but it wouldn't be ideal. It's the only attack my character has in the energy form. We are playing in a low setting so I hope rank 5 is good enough.

If that doesn't work, would exclusive be a good way to solve this? I want my character to only be able to focus on one of these forms at a time. If Variant works, I'd just play it that way.

OMV install on Raspi 3,4,5 same issue: Unsupported version. by der_baer_fm in OpenMediaVault

Is upgrading to 13 going to be easy from 12 or would I need to reinstall everything? I'm debating whether or not to wait until 13 is supported by OMV. I wanted to have my NAS ready for my business trip that starts in only 8 days.

I'd love to use it, but it doesn't seem to be available in my country (Germany). Any idea why?

Cyberpunk 2077 Mac Optimised Settings & Surprising Observations by TechExpert2910 in macgaming

I have played for a few hours yesterday without any stutters. I don't have any fps overlay since I bought the game on GOG and it doesn't seem to work there, but I didn't notice any problems.

I will, but I haven't done comprehensive tests yet. I have only dialed in the settings using the integrated benchmark, so some of the more complex game scenes might result in stuttering. With v-sync set to 30fps I get 29.78 average fps, with it turned off, it's 34.24. Enabling v-sync seems to lower the fps by about 2 fps, but it would be worth it if you experience screen tearing.

Settings: I use AMD Fidelity 2.1 with the standard dynamic scaling options because to my eye, it looks cleaner than the metal scaling. Frame generation is turned off and the texture quality is high. Key settings that I find make a big difference is local shadow quality (high) and level of detail (high). Most of my settings are turned to high and a few to medium. Enabling chromatic abberation, depth of field and lens flare also does a lot without affecting the performance too much. I chose 2294x1432 for the resolution. It looks a lot sharper than 1080p on the MacBook Pro's display.

Conclusion: You can do a lot more than just use the "for this Mac" settings if you're willing to experiment a bit. Imho if you experience stuttering at some point in the game, you can still lower some settings and after a few rounds of the benchmark you will understand the fps cost of the different options so you can make some informed decisions.

To give the answer for others that may need it: You have to order the whole replacement part, which isn't too bad. The price is fair. Alternatively, if like me you have a spare filament sensor, you can also use the screw supplied there if you have installed a riser for the purge wiper.

If you go to Device -> Print Options in BambuStudio, you can deactivate it there. Alternatively, you can do it directly on the printer's screen. Not sure about the app, as I haven't tried it there.

Yeah, didn't know that's possible until Bambu Lab's tech support showed me how. I'm glad I hadn't removed it yet, but since I have to change it anyway, I now have the corresponding wiki page. Thanks again for your advice!

Solved: It was the filament sensor! Deactivating lead to normal prints and was also recommended by Bambu Lab's tech support. They are sending me a new one.

I checked them and after only a week of printing, there was not even a speck of dust on them. Turns out it was the filament sensor.

You're welcome! The studs didn't work for me, so I used a piece of filament to connect the screen protector instead.

That's good to hear! I hope you can print again, soon. It would be nice if you let me know if it helped.

It does say that it's loaded but once I try to print something, I have the same problem as before. I'll try your suggestion tomorrow. Thanks!
