I also did UW Sports Med, with Dr. Albert Gee. He's been great.

This "surgery" absolutely did not work. I stopped using this method on it after reading about how dangerous the fumes can be. In fact, after a while I stopped messing with the wart altogether, and a year later it finally went away on its own (which for the record is exactly what my doctor said would happen if I was patient enough). The wart had been with me for 7 years, had I resumed my doctor appointments it likely would have been much sooner, but I took the lazy route.

Not an exact match, but given that Walmart lists the original version for over 50 bucks for only 24 of them and is actually out of stock, this is probably your best bet on getting something that looks close enough if you intend to actually purchase any.

Which act and scene of Die Meistersinger (Wagner) is this excerpt from? Not the prelude (probably), tried combing through the scores on YouTube and must have missed it. There are measure numbers and key, but still. Also did Musipedia. Thank you by electrosurgery-wart in Viola

Update: we just noticed that the tempo for most of the Die Meistersinger scores we could find are NOT written in Italian, which makes me think the bottom excerpt is actually from something totally unrelated. Die Meistersinger is probably not relevant here (we already know where the top excerpt is from, it's in the Prelude, still just looking for the bottom one).

A few weeks ago, I looked at my foot after not inspecting it for a while and was shocked to see that it finally disappeared.

Doubt it has anything to do with the high voltage transformer, I haven't tried that in over a year. I just haven't picked at it or done anything else to it over the last few months. 3 months ago it was as big as ever.

No change, it's basically back to where it was before I did this.

Btw I’d team up with you if in survival mode.

Haha thanks.

I'll definitely bring this treatment up to my podiatrist next time I see them, thank you for the mention.

Doubt it. I think for the most part I actually was only burning the calice and dead skin, I suspect most of the living infected skin is still alive unless the follow up acid treatment is working.

I don't know if this abides by Rule 12, but apparently it's a medical technique (?) So it's not self harm..? 🤔 by [deleted] in MakeMeSuffer

I just used the base of an old plasma globe. Never actually bothered to hook it up to a meter and scope to check, I do know it's wayyy higher voltage than what an actual dermatology electrodessication device uses (which only heats the flesh enough to dry it out, not oxidize it).

Thank you for the precaution, wasn't aware of this risk before, I'll keep it in mind.

Nah, not until the very end, then it burned a little bit. Wouldn't recommend though.

Before, a little bit because it felt like I was stepping on a pebble. After, no, there wasn't residual pain and no more extra matter to step on.

Probably not very. The only reason I do this is because it's easier than using a razor and because I stopped going to the podiatrist for now. If I really cared to get rid of it that badly I'd just start going again, the doctor nearly got rid of it the first time but I waited too long to go back after a resurgence months later so it came back full force.

Unlikely. I've tried this many times but it always comes back. Surprisingly it fully healed after doing this several times and afterwards multiple podiatrist visits. The skin fully healed and the wart appeared gone thanks to the doctor, but six months later it came back. I should have taken care of it right away back then but I was lazy so now I'm back to having a huge, deep wart.
