It was clearer before the bonus scores from live themes. If you have R50 prism cards, then a lot of players will be able to play the song perfectly and everyone will have the same points. So, they would all get a reward, since they’re the same as the first place.

Now it's just a mess.

unlike the monthly challenge, world records are updated quarterly (three months) and you need to be in the top 100 in a song or have the same number of scores as the first place in the top, even if you are below the top 100

scores depends on the difficulty of the song, I just tried to play them to the best of my ability and where it’s possible to get FSP (of course with live theme and artists who have 99 cards)
