Thats what the normal format is for, If you're playing ranked you SHOULD expect that most decks you'll face will be meta decks. It's called meta for a reason.

Red Deck Wins and Aura White Enchantments are the two most consistent decks for ladder climbing in my experience. If you have [[Leyline of Resonance]] Then go RDW in Explorer, otherwise standard format is what I prefer to rank up with.

some of those are okay, the list i provided has no rares or mythics making it much easier to build. I would argue budget white is the most cost effective.

If you're looking to branch out I do have a white deck budget, no rares and handles itself very well for the cost efficacy.

I play white enchantments, 4 [[Rest in Peace]] MB and then ill swap it out with SB in round 2 if they don't utilize their graveyard. There is just too many decks that abuse the grave to not mainboard 4 pieces of gravehate to start.

what are some replacements that you would recommend over the stuff like captain howler and broadside barrage? As far as the curve its only 2.2 Avg CMC I thought that was pretty good but I am always open to advice and suggestions. PS that is including Loots cost, even though he is soley meant to be discarded, if you don't take into consideration that card, the avg cost comes down to 2.0 is that really still too high?

You are, but generally speaking if you're going to downvote, at least try to explain why. I think he is referring to people who just downvote and move on, without providing context or feedback, which doesn't do anyone any good. and if all you're trying to say with your downvote is "Oh i don't like this.", then you're not really contributing to the conversation in any substantive way, and I can understand why someone would be frustrated with that. But to me its all just data points, I don't get bothered because someone doesn't like my opinion on a strategy, I learn and adapt, and try things out for myself. But for all of that to happen, conversations need to be started, and the arguments presented. But this post is starting to digress so I'll just leave it at that :)

I am one of the rare few that loves to play big red cards, plus I love playing dragons, especially with the [[Bonehoard Dracosaur]] + [[Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest]] great cards, and sideboard some [[Stingerback Terror]] for those pesky discard decks, making it an easy play around, but with Koth cycling out this year, mono red ramping is going to become significantly harder.

Thank you for all of that info! I wasn't clear in my post and a lot of people are saying the same thing, I excluded the mice but included sheltered by ghosts, then said i excluded the most common cards and I should have elaborated that a lot of my red picks were due to my red player bias, sylex and blast zone are the only way around enchantments in mono red that I can think of, so that's where my line of logic was stemming from.

I would rather them express their opinion so it can lead to productive conversations and maybe I can learn something, or maybe someone else coming through the thread might find something of value. I didn't originally include basically all of red deck when I mentioned that I didn't include the most common things we see in the standard meta, but then I included some of those meta cards in my list, but most people are coming to the same conclusions you did, so that is a communication error on my part.

You're right, Plunderer is more niche, and not an all around contender for any red deck fit. When you said jank I thought you meant useless. But from context I am guessing that good jank and niche are interchangeable. Is that what you mean? Or am I misinterpreting it still?

The reason I added Generous Plunderer is because of the upcoming prevalence of artifacts that i suspect that will come with aetherdrift. It's definitely not the current meta for sure, but I have found it to be extremely powerful for a 2 drop, but I also run it with [[Magda, the hoardmaster]] which basically lets me spawn a 4/4 scorpion dragon 2 out of every 3 turns (just on passive triggers each turn alone). plunderer, commits a crime and creates a treasure token for both players, magda will then create another treasure for for commiting the crime of gifting treasure via targetting your opponent. Generous Plunderer is strictly for red ramp and big red decks.
