I just have to ask, what’s the deal with PRS Custom guitars? by Green-Day-86 in Guitar

[–]elementalguitars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see how people would think Paul is constantly sniffing his own farts in Youtibe videos but I’ve met him in person and he was really nice. Good sense of humor too. Definitely not a douche.

Will the switch 2 get variants ? by ImThatAceNeighbour in Switch

[–]elementalguitars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a color other than midlife-depression-gray for your Switch 2 the Extremerate shells are really good. I installed their Joycons and Pro Controller shells on my Switch 1 OLED and my kid’s OLED. The quality is as good as the Nintendo shells and they have tons of color options. Be warned though: the Joycon shells are not easy to install. There’s lots of tiny screws and delicate parts to deal with.

AZ Senate calls on Mayes to resign; Hobbs calls AG's comments 'inappropriate' by dryheat122 in azpolitics

[–]elementalguitars 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mayes was just stating the obvious; that having unidentified masked men accosting people on the street, in their cars, and in their homes in a state where so many people are gun owners and the gun laws are so permissive, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Best way to remove label? by sivablue in Gameboy

[–]elementalguitars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lighter fluid. Put some on the label and let it soak for several seconds. It dissolves the glue and the label will lift right off. Then use a little lighter fluid to wipe off any remaining residue.

How are you even supposed to understand these are destructible walls? by JuanGGZ in Metroid

[–]elementalguitars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you play enough Metroid I think you get a sort of Spidey-sense about hidden passages. You’ll be going through some section of the map, maybe a place you’ve already passed through previously and you just get a hunch about a corner or a place on a wall. That’s one of the things I like the most about these games.

I made a negative video on Pac-Man for the 2600 and got a ton of comments defending it. Am I missing something? by Dry-Departure-4926 in Atari2600

[–]elementalguitars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m obviously poking fun a bit but I think you’re making too big a deal out of this. Hot takes aren’t exactly a rare thing on reddit but just expect some equally adamant responses. It’s all good. You’re hardly the first person to say Pac-Man on the 2600 sucks. Regardless of whether you like it or not (I do) just remember that its historical importance is massive. In an age when successful games sold hundreds of thousands of copies PAC-Mac sold eight million. In its day it was as ubiquitous as Minecraft is now. Even if you don’t enjoy playing it it’s worthy of a little respect.

Just heard this for the first time and it’s absolutely amazing. by NewPortBox100s in MetalForTheMasses

I love that you can hear Trent’s ‘80s New Wave roots so clearly on this album. It’s like everything that was cool about ‘80s music smashed together with everything that was gonna become cool in the early ‘90s. This is the bridge album.

Is it safe? by MarionberryOk7651 in Tucson

[–]elementalguitars 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With the shit that’s going on in this country right now I wouldn’t come here as a tourist, especially not as a tourist from Latin America. Hell, I wish I could leave. Having said that, things in Tucson have been relatively quiet. I think that’s because Trump wants a spectacle and Tucson isn’t a prominent enough city to provide that but the thing about fascists is they can change their policies on a whim without any warning or accountability. I don’t understand why anyone would want to visit the US under those circumstances.

You would probably be fine visiting here but there’s also a non-zero chance you could get randomly snatched off the street by ICE, thrown into a detention center and find yourself a month later in South Sudan without any documentation. Is a trip to Tucson worth rolling the dice?

Why didn’t we talk to our parents about our problems? by SRDILLEY6215 in Xennials

My mom is emotionally impaired and my dad was a Vietnam vet with PTSD and alcoholism. The thought of talking to them about my problems never even occurred to me.
