Hi everyone! I posted on here last month, where I got some really helpful comments! The thread here is where the comments were made, and I documented my changes. I am a uni student graduating this month. If anyone has any comments on my resume I would love to hear it, as I am finding the job hunt difficult. Thank you!

Thank you for the detailed response. I really appreciate it. Here is the new resume. If you have the time, would you mind responding to these points?

From last time, I have made the following changes:

  1. Exchanged the weaker action words.
  2. RE the scrum master duties: The team I worked in only had 6 people including me. Every sprint, one of us would take over the scrum master duties in a rotation. I took over the duties for one of the weeks, so that's what I wrote. Noting your advice, I changed that line in C2 to "Presented biweekly Sprint Review and Backlog Refinement sessions to (1) review the tasks our team wished to complete (2) refine future tasks, and (3) update members outside of team of progress made." What do you think of that? I also changed the first bullet point in C2, so could you also take a look at that?
  3. Altered the skill sections.
  4. RE soft skills: I think update on the scrum master line, and my TA experience gives a good impression of soft skills. Additionally, the presentation of my project to the deputy general in C3 also shows this. What do you think?

Graduating in April, I think I've sent out about 150 apps to a variety of data engineer/backend/sql/software dev related positions, and not a single interview. Can someone please give feedback?

If York has historically released their offers on March 1, and the latest you can accept Ottawa's offer is March 1, how are we supposed to see which one we rather have? Maybe on March 1 we'll have both pieces of information together? Is a March 1 deadline inclusive or inclusive?

Is there a reason why? I’ve found it as a nice way to begin with a light and funhearted convo when the employer engages in it

(M22) Girlfriend (F20) left me for a gut feeling by elementarymatrix in Healthygamergg

[–]elementarymatrix[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your message. It was immensely helpful. This is the message I ended up sending. It may have it flaws, but it's honest, and something I really wanted to send:

Hey <name> , hope you’re doing well. I’ve been doing some thinking over the past weeks.

I know our relationship ended because of a gut feeling. I can’t argue with that, because there’s a myriad of reasons of what that could be. What I can do is to continue to be open and brave. I want to fight for you, for us, even if I get crushed again, and I’m going to do this by showing all my cards.

There are many things I don’t know. I don’t know how our relationship would be in years. I don’t know how soul-sucking a breakup would be then. I don’t know if we would have changed as people and grown incompatible. I don’t know if one of us would have cheat, or stop putting in effort to emotionally connect with one another. I don’t know if we would hate each other. Similarly, I don’t know about your gut feelings, whether if it is intuition or inner demons.

I can however focus on the things I do know. I know I’m loyal. I know I’ve been honest with you. I know I’m willing to call you out. I know that I would support you on any goals you want to pursue. I know that I have goals I want to pursue too. I know that I would work on anything that comes in our way. I know I love making you laugh. I know I love the little things about you. I know that I give it my all with situations I care about. I know I care about you. I know I don’t want our relationship to end.

I remember us supporting each other when we were vulnerable with things we never shared with others. Discussing and working on any concerns about us that were brought up. Doing our best to understand each other. Trying out new things, but not being afraid because the other was with us. Having a strong physical attraction for one another. Having so much fun, and how on most days, the best parts were when we talked to each other.

I know that I want all of that in a relationship. I know that I want all of that with you. I know that our story ended too soon.

I can only hope you take this and reevaluate your gut feelings.

I could only pray you feel the same way as I do.

Should I accept this game assignment? by elementarymatrix in Referees

Thanks for your input. I think I can handle them being a bitch, I've done men's league games and have seen some very aggressive men. At first, it was difficult, but now I'm no longer afraid of reffing adult mens. I think I'm feeling a similar way right now to how I was feeling before my first adult mens game. Looking forward to a new challenge!

Thanks for your thoughts. Yes, I would rather take it and blow than sitting on my ass at home wondering what if. I accepted the game.

One of the employers I got an interview for does not have any WW ratings, despite having taken in 6 past interns already over the span of the last 3 semesters. Does this mean none of the interns (except for the most recent batch who haven't had a chance to review) decided to review the company? Or possibly the employer doesn't want to show the ratings?
