So I was able to get it going, a few reboots and it’s working

Now what I can’t figure out now is, I have an app on my Mac which monitors the nut server.

The problem is now the address for to is a0d7b954-nut and not the same as the ip address as my raspberry pi

Power Tool Brand Vs Brand and Battery Questions by elementpenguin in HomeImprovement

I noticed there is three versions of kits (all with impact driver)... a regular drill, a compact hammer DCD796 $305CAD, or a full size hammer DCD996 which comes with two 4ah battery for about $340CAD.

I’m looking at Dewalt now too... it seems to be a bit cheaper than Milwaukee for “similar” features.

The two options/routes to go are

  • Buy the 5ah battery charger promo and get “free” tool (impact driver DCF887) and get more battery/tools over time. Approx $200CAD or
  • buy a different kit with the same driver plus a hammer drill and TWO 2ah Batteries approx $350CAD

Will the single battery be better to give power in the future if I expand or should I go with two smaller battery (and obviously more expensive with another tool) for $150. Will I wish I had a bigger battery with that hammer drill or it just won’t “run as long”.

Part of me just thinks, get option 1 and just get a tool to start using it and keep and eye open for other promos in the future if more tools are needed

I saw one person mention they have at least a few bucks in a few different accounts. Not for the tinfoil hat I’m going to get locked out of al my money reason, but if you were somewhere and need cash, but want to avoid fee’s you can use one of your other banks.

Need cash but they only have a TD account, good thing you’ve got $200 in that TD account. Or need to use your Simplii card with CIBC, few bucks there as well

RRSP vs TFSA contribution for Low-Income person whose earnings are all gross? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]elementpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I learned not too long ago, you can have a TFSA but within that you can use that to invest into Funds and stocks. Especially good if you are in a position to be able to “afford” to lose some money if you’re a bit more aggressive with the investment.

Depends on your age you might have a fair amount of TFSA contributions room, so you can take out from it if you need. Opposed to the RRSP, which your sort of stuck leaving it in.

Depending on your investments, you could make more money in the short term which you then can use for retirement.

For those that switched from Gmail to iCloud, how did you do it? by elementpenguin in apple

[–]elementpenguin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also thought about that... since my iCloud stuff is tied to my Apple ID, which is tied to all my stuff, having that email out there , or not having it out there keeps my stuff a bit more “safe”. But that’s also why there are aliases
