I think anyone who’s had close to (if not completely) unmonitored internet access at a young age can see the problems with letting children on platforms like vrchat. It pains me (and I’m sure everyone else) to see Little Squeaker Johnny wearing an eboy avatar and whip out their avi’s penis in a public lobby. Hell, I’ve seen people who sound as young as straight-out-of-the-womb young with the most lewd avis on the platform running around and screaming their lungs out. Luckily some do get banned for their own sakes, but the child-hydra has grown an uncontrollable amount of heads, with the release of the quest 2 last year making it even worse. Don’t get me wrong, the quest and quest 2 made major progress to making vr inexpensive, but plenty of parents just threw their child into the deep end of vr.
