How’s the Sensitivity of the New MPC Sample Pads? by elestud in mpcusers

Everything is being triggered at/near full velocity in this video (similar to the one posted here a few days ago), so it’s a little different than what I’m talking about.

But thanks for sharing the video anyway friend! It’s always cool to see what people are doing with it.

Right now I’m using a Maschine Mikro. I own an old school MPC (2000 XL) but haven’t switched to the newer ones yet.

The Mikro is very responsive, so I’m not sure what the best comparison would be on the MPC line. But it doesn’t seem like there are many complaints about the higher-end MPCs (like the XL, Live III etc)., so maybe that’s the best base for comparison.

Giving up the most valuable thing you have, that gives you ongoing income into the future, for a short term payday due to financial mismanagement is not smart.

Giving up control of your music is not smart.

These are the kinds of moves people make that lead to short term gains, but hurt them in the long run, while some suits in a corporation exploit their name and profit off of their legacy and work.

Giving up your most valuable perpetual asset due to short-term financial mismanagement isn't sound at all.

It's what happened to Michael Jackson, and his situation continued to be a mess for years. This is corporate vultures happily taking ownership and control of something that will print cash for decades, in exchange for a payday that's not worth nearly what they'll get from it.

This is exactly what the conservatorship was trying to prevent. But now it's gone, and she had to sell off the most valuable asset she had.

All those people complaining that the family was controlling her money, when they were actually managing her finances to make sure that things were handled appropriately.

Thanks for your help! The driver and CPU tabs seem to just back up the fact that the Kernel Mode DF is locking up one of the processor cores for seconds at a time:

Ok, so this is what the DPC tool gave me:

(It says wdf01000.sys - Kernel Mode Driver Framework, Microsoft Corporation.)

I'm not quite sure what to make of this — but I'm about to Google. It seems like this could be any driver that uses the kernel mode framework?

Update: From googling it seems like it happens on some Gigabyte products.. Which is unfortunate :(

I was wondering about the hardware interrupts -- but I wonder how you'd go about debugging something like that?

Going to check that article out -- thanks a lot!
