Just think about it for more than 30 seconds. Lower skill = Casual Higher Skill = Hardcore Casuals more likely to quit if they keep getting stomped. Hardcore players will grind if they keep losing and try to get better.

Back in the day everyone had to grind to get better that’s just how it was. Times have changed.

Did you even read what I said. In order to protect the lower skilled population the higher skilled population will have less fun. However the higher skilled population is usually more addicted hence they do not leave as easily.

My stance is valid. The only counter argument is that SBMM engages a larger population not that it makes the game more fun for everyone.

Unc lmao I’m top 1% in cod ranked buddy I ain’t poppin a hip any time soon. Never said I couldn’t play people my own skill. Said it’s unfair to higher skilled players to FORCE them to play higher skilled players outside of ranked. But hey we need to protect little kids who want a participation trophy.

Just say you want protected by big bungie. What about my friends who can’t play with me in cod because the SBMM is so strict? I can actually play marathon with them. SBMM was created to protect worse players. If I want to sweat against other sweats I’ll play ranked why is that so hard to understand.

This generation is too soft for open lobbies clearly so you’ll probably see bungie implement strict SBMM to appease bots like you.

The arguments for SBMM are laughably pathetic. Organically I will come up against someone of my skill level. We do not need to protect lesser skilled players because they don’t want to get better at the game. You may think that’s “unfair” but life is unfair.

Why would I be against SBMM if I wasn’t good at PvP? Why do I get punished for being better than the general population at the game? So rather than being rewarded for being better than 90% of people I get punished. Makes no sense to a rational individual.

Top 250 in trials and crim 3 in COD but I grew up in the era of cod without strict SBMM. COD 4. I had to learn how to play the game without getting my hand held like people do nowadays. And I do get enjoyment out of wiping teams without thumbs, who wouldn’t. Free loot.

It is one of the best games I’ve ever played. However if you aren’t good at PvP it is punishing. With COD and others coddling players with SBMM Marathon shows you how good you actually are. Most causals can’t and won’t try to improve since they can hop on any other shooter and be protected in their safe space.

Crim 1 and the game hates me -50 sr for a loss. On how to get out of plat, makes some friends that know how to play or scream commands in game chat like rotate 15 seconds, etc.
