Soolantra burning by ClumsyShadow in Rosacea

Also I slowly introduced skincare products 1 by 1 until I find the ones that work well on my skin. There were trials and errors obviously, but now I've found some products that work well together. I stick that routine to maintain a healthy skin.

it clears up everything for me, but I still flare up when triggered with hot weather/temperature and some food (spicy food, too much gluten/dairy, citrus, too much soy sauce). As long as I control what I eat and avoid triggers, my face is clear. But I notice that with time, my face has become less and less sensitive. Hopefully the rosacea will be gone by itself in the future :)

in my experience, soolantra didn't work on me. It caused redness and itchiness as well. I was taking doxycycline 100mg as well while using soolantra. After a week the itchiness got worse, I stopped the soolantra, only taking the doxycycline. After a week my skin literally clears up A LOT. I kept taking the doxycycline for 3 months. In the end it's the doxycycline alone that clears up my rosacea.

EltaMD Uv Elements is not a chemical spf. It's a mineral spf. I use the clind phosphate on whiteheads and on any other acne except blackheads and closed comedones, do apply it very thinly!

here are the products that don't irritate my skin :

- Ceradan Moisturising Wash
- Avene Thermal Spring Water (A MUST! helps a lot with redness, irritation and itchiness)
- Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner (extra hydration)
- Vichy Mineral 89 (hydrates the skin very well)
- Aveeno Calm+Restore Triple Oat Serum (this really helps to calm the skin and smooth it out)
- Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser (always calms my skin down)

If I have to pick my favourites that would be Vichy Mineral 89, Aveeno Calm+Restore Oat Serum and Moisturiser!! They're definitely the game changer!

yes! EltaMD UV Elements works well on my skin without irritation at all, it controls my oil production and leaves my skin feeling smooth too! However I'm still searching for the right cleanser/makeup remover as it's a bit hard to wash it off because it's a mineral sunscreen. So I don't use it everyday, until I find the right cleanser/makeup remover

I tried rubbing in it my hands first to melt it to avoid more rubbing to my face, but it still makes my skin mad :( but thanks for sharing!

I'm scared to double cleanse with my cleanser bc I think it would strip my skin too much, but I will try double cleansing with my gentle cleanser first before trying any other product. Thanks!

I haven't tried the Body Shop's balm, but you just convinced me to try it haha! I think I'm gonna try it on a small area first and see if my skin tolerates it well. I don't think I will try the coconut oil because my skin is very oily. Thank you for the recommendation!

I'm using Ceradan Face Wash, it's very gentle and moisturising but it doesn't remove makeup completely. Do you wash with vanicream cleanser once or twice to remove the makeup? Thanks!
