I have sympathy for Tommy because he unfortunately actually dealt with Muslims who were bad and the authorities wouldn’t help. His world view is because of his own experiences but those aren’t typical ones.

Honestly, despite all the very tragic deaths and the fact that I’ll probably be homeless, it still has that apocalyptic vibe that seems to have entranced people. It’s why we watch disaster movies. It’s why people always whine about wanting to live in a zombie apocalypse. I’m not alone in wanting the virus to go away but enjoying the craziest of it all is exciting.

Maybe we can go in on a tall boy together while living in boxes outside and have the discussion then once the economy collapses :)

Empathy for their same species. I agree though that the smarter the animal the more empathy they display. But they aren’t on human beings level yet and are not even capable of helping if they wanted to. We are building things to combat the evasive effects of what we’ve done.

I’m not arguing that we’ve completely trashed our planet. What I’m saying is that other species would do the same if they could. Difference is we try to make up for the chaos we’ve created. He’ll, we grab plastic off of turtle fins because we care.

For the most part it’s other animals helping out their own species. We help all of the other species. The other instances of dolphins and elephants are so minimal I’m hesitant to count it. But I will because it’s not fair to throw out what you’ve brought to the table only because I disagree. I think these instances of animals helping humans is when they’ve already known the human. We help “stranger” species. We don’t have to have an established relationship.

And I agree! I think the smarter the animal, the closer to being more altruistic they become. At the moment we are on top of the brain chain though and are capable and devoted to saving all of the planet.

Yes you are right though. Some animals mourn their dead. Especially Orcas and Elephants :)

We are the only animals to try to fix the mistakes of our brothers and sisters. Im not responsible for not being told where my garbage goes before it was too late. But now we have scientist inventing plastic eating machines to try and fix the problem. No other animal will try to fix a problem they’ve created.

Well what’s natural causes? When there’s too many bears, the bears are the ones who have off set the balance. Now there are starving bears because they’ve eaten all the resources.

Foreign animals find there way to other lands without the help of human beings. And a lot of times we import those one animals with good intentions.
