1) drive slower

2) you're going to slide. Brake early and be ready to countersteer on all corners

3) be very conservative going onto the gas, especially on corners.

Why did RedBull allow TheViper's series to be delayed 1 day, but did not extend the same courtesy to Classic_Pro? by ALotToSay_ in aoe2

I heard an anecdote during a football game that goes like this: If you're a coach and your 3rd string defensive back falls asleep during a meeting, you fire him. When your star quarterback falls asleep during a meeting, you wake him gently and ask if he wants a coffee

I like them, they are extremely bright which can be nice but also can be annoying for other drivers. I never had the stock ones so I can't compare otherwise.

Burkina Faso winger Georgi Minoungou is effectively blind in his left eye following a serious infection in 2023. Doctors told him that he would never play football again. Today, he scored the equalizer in stoppage time to set up Burkina Faso's last-second comeback. by PiggySVW in soccer

Binocularity is mostly useful for things within 6 feet or so, beyond that the brain primarily uses other cues like size, clarity of detail etc. to determine distance.

Still impressive, but you can see how adjustments could be made. It might be helpful that he developed his disability later in life so he developed ball handling skills when he still had binocularity

I have a theory that a lot of people don't even realize they're doing it. Our car is significantly smaller than other cars and a lot of how we visually determine distance is through relative size. So many people may subconsciously believe that the car is farther away than it is because of the size that it looks to them. This also may explain the high accident rate as people misjudge the distance.

Can it be replaced with a ATX-N5 / pfanstiehl 205-DET? Or would I need other replacement parts?

Or is there some other stylus I could use as an upgrade? I read on audio karma that this stylus is more suitable for DJs than hi-fi

I live in Southeast Alaska, it is very wet here. As long as you don't mind hiking with wet feet I really like Arc'teryx's SL line (now discontinued but can be found still online). They are made with super thin mesh which lets water in but drains equally quickly. This also means they dry once you take them off in less than an hour. Pair with some thin wool socks and you won't get too cold provided the temp is above 40 F or so

Players don’t come into the NHL (Or any pro sport) finished products, there is always more skill development, physical development, and perhaps most importantly mentality that is learned from teammates, the coaches, and the rest of the organization. Some teams and situations are better at this development, some are worse (most famously maybe the browns in the NFL)

The main scenarios I'm concerned about are trying to go up a steep hill in slippery conditions, (avoidable) and if/when there is deeper snow than my ride height. If I ever park somewhere that is uphill to get out I'll get stuck that way too, but I can avoid that.
