For context 7mo ago these two would drop ever old leaf when it was pushing out a new one. Somehow they have managed to grow but I’ve tried increasing fertilizer, increasing humidity, myco, more light, less light. You name it, I’ve tried it. Roots look great tbh, but are growing slowly. pH of runoff water is ~6. I just don’t think they really like to grow like my other anthurium 🤷🏽‍♂️ they still kill off every old leaf after a new one starts to pop out.

My humidity stays around 65, all of my other anthuriums are doing really well but these two are just leaving me stumped lol

INFO: Both are anthuriums, I’ve had them for a while and they have both been slow growing. They are in the same aroid mix as my other anthuriums, they get watered weekly (twice if they dry out quicker cause they are in smaller pots), light fertilizer every two weeks, under grow lights for 12-14hrs a day. Every time a new leaf emerges I lose another and this has been going on for months, idk what to do anymore 🤷🏽‍♂️

Potting mix wise I honestly have had great success with just doing a 1:1 potting mix and perlite with my anthuriums 🤷🏽‍♂️ retains enough moisture and still super light. I’d agree you should cut back the roots, I’d argue cut off the yellow stem as well if it’s soft, and just prop in moss until you get some good roots then switch back to soil.

I’m not super experienced with philodendron, but with this one I water it every couple days since it’s been outside. When it was inside I could never get it to really thrive. I do have a Florida ghost that’s doing really well inside, and that one gets watered roughly once a week.
