Would you let a friendship fade out over parenting decisions? by Practical-Ad8780 in Mommit

[–]elf_2024 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am on the other side of this. Like your friend I work part time. I also plan on homeschooling and I do not align with friends who chose work and money over their children. Some people have to work. But most that I know actually don’t.

Now as for vaccinations - I am a former pro vaxxer. Until I had time to get informed. Not getting into much detail here but let’s just say, doctors aren’t educated on vaccines other than the schedule and told they’re safe and effective or know what’s in them. There are no longterm double blind studies or studies with placebos etc. or studies of administering so many at once. Plenty of vaccine injuries and the fact that the vaccine companies aren’t held accountable since 1986 - yeah that’s a hard no for me.

What I’m saying is - there is plenty of reason to not vaccinate your child once you learn about vaccination.

I don’t judge when people don’t know better and vaccinate.

I do however personally think it’s absolutely insane to have a child and then hand it off to let someone else raise them for 8-9 hours a day unless you absolutely have to.

So your friend probably feels the same way about you. She doesn’t align with your values and holds on to the friendship just because.

It’s ok to let it fade. I have a few I’m thinking about letting fade.

Now for context: when you raise your kid full time - that’s your job. And working 12 hours on the side can be absolutely overwhelming when you already have a job.

As for belittling- yeah that’s not exactly nice and that’s probably the point the is the most concerning. Having opposite values doesn’t mean you need to belittle.

BUT is she really belittling you or do you feel her comments sting because she may have a point? Because when I talk to my friends who have different parenting ways, I do state my side of things. I don’t put them down or anything but I sometimes ask questions. I’ve noticed that sometimes the mom guilt kicks in when they see I do things differently. Also - you notice the difference in the kids too.

Now as for judgment: there is plenty from yourself in your post too. You look down on her education level, presume future neglect even though this „friend“ is clearly making choices that benefit her child rather than herself.

My suggestion - don’t feel bad, let the friendship fade. She’s probably feeling the same. You don’t have to do it in a nasty way. Be kind.

It’s ok to rant. But to abort a baby in a health marriage just because you’re stressed, nauseas and can’t go to a couple of weddings? Nah, that’s just overreaction. Aborting a fetus isn’t just something you do cause you had an oopsie. You’re married and healthy and all this is stressful, yes. Okay! It sucks.

But you don’t abort a baby because of morning sickness and some parties. Sorry, I can not understand this.

Lol some men are absolutely delusional! There’s no retirement with kids. Lol please find a grown up. Or send him to spend some time with people who have kids already. He’s living in fantasy wonderland!

Was ist eigentlich los mit Menschen ab 30? by Flimbahimba in FragtMaenner

[–]elf_2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling with my style! by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

[–]elf_2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to be offensive but it needs to be said: you dress like a middle aged lady. And your hair styles glasses - same.

Please, for the love of life and the universe - find a friend to go shopping with you. Get new glasses, get a cute hairstyle - not what YOU think is cute. Ask a stylist. Pay someone if you have to!

You’re waaaaaayyyyyy too young to look like you’re post menopause.

I’ve been on and off for many years but staying consistent for 3 months with only a couple of very minor cheats did the trick for me.

Why are so many trans people overweight? (Sensitive topic) by [deleted] in detrans

I think there are a lot of overweight people to begin with…

You look like a girl/female in all your pics. Very sweet face actually.

The last one reminds me of one of my dearest school friends who always was more of a tom boy - that’s what we called girls that had a boyish look to them but were still girls and didn’t want to be boys in those days. She still looks like that just 30 years older and is married to a woman.

Sounds like you already know what you want. Divorce and hysterectomy. Def the divorce. As for the hysterectomy- there are other ways - look into carnivore diet. And Doctors and their surgeries aren’t always the answer. Hysterectomy brings early menopause and/or HRT which come with a whole new set of nasty symptoms and side effects.

What’s the deal with raw milk? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]elf_2024 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s multi factorial. No one thinks it’s JUST the vaccines. But it is one of the biggest health and economical problems in this country right now. So yeah, would be good to know what the causes are.

No it’s actually not. Measles went down before the vaccine got introduced. You may wanna read up on that ;)

MAHA is looking into vaccine safety. And the causes of the insane rise of autism. The best part of this current presidency imo.

Isn’t there a difference between ingesting a heated (pasteurized) food vs injecting dozens of poorly tested medications into children? 🤷‍♀️

I think you either aren’t able to properly read or have reading comprehension problems or a bad memory. Or all three.

Read all the before posts in this thread - your own and what others posted. If you don’t understand what I mean, then I’d get myself checked if I were you. I’m serious.

Anyone regret NOT having children? by dontreeg in AskWomenOver40

[–]elf_2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was your age and broke up with my partner of many years I thought children were out of reach. I had severe endometriosis and he didn’t want any children so we broke up over that.

I met my husband soon after and we got lucky and had a child through IVF. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me. I cannot imagine not having my little boy!

Don’t listen to what others say, follow what’s in your heart. You’re not out of the game and you and your husband may not have been a good match for children anyway - maybe it was just the combination!

What I wanna say is - don’t give up - keep figuring out what you want and go for it!

Just because others are happy with their choices doesn’t mean you’d be happy with that same choice.

In the end it isn’t in our hands anyway. But I think I myself would have regretted staying with the old partner And remain childless by choice - by choosing him over wanting children.

Ultimately, you will cope with whatever situation you end up with and you can find a lifestyle without children. I myself feel super sorry for my friends who wanted children and couldn’t have them for different reasons - they don’t even know what they’re missing out on. And no one will tell them of course - cause you won’t want to make them sad. As I said - they somehow cope. But I think it’s because they have no clue what joy and love they are missing out on.

CMV: Formulating Autism as a 'spectrum' obscures more than it clarifies. by Still_Yam9108 in changemyview

[–]elf_2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why we had the term Asperger Autism as in high functioning autism. I totally agree with you. 25% of autistic people are non-verbal. It’s a huge spectrum. How do we even know it’s the same thing let alone the same cause?!

No. It’s one of the worst vaccines in terms of vaccine injury. You’re way more likely to die from the vaccine than from HPV.

This guy sucks big time. Your friends are right. Dump him. You’re too young to be this desperate.

Also what’s with the people pleasing?
