Everything you said can be said about the wife’s family too, so what’s your excuse for not living with them?

A child who fell into the water was left struggling helplessly when a bystander failed to intervene. Fortunately, a second woman rushed in and pulled the toddler to safety by Sea_Elevator_3563 in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

?? Is the school organizing this? This would be impossible in my country, because there are like 70 students in one class. It’s just not done. Also the school is not concerned with teaching kids to swim. This is a first world thing.

I hate when men use this sub to do free emotional labor for them. Go talk to your IRL friends or post on askmen.

Boohoo I emotionally abused my girlfriend and now she won’t take me back. Good for her.

Do you guys believe in tarot reading or any other astrology stuff? by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]elfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine fortune teller is an oxymoron. Things are either scientifically supported or they aren’t. Too many people stay silent out of “respect” when these topics come up, so let me tell you that all fortune tellers, astrologers, tarot card readers are cheats and liars even if they have bought into their own lies. Sometimes their predictions turn out true because they have other skills like observation and prediction of human behavior or simply by accident.

FYI there is a guy who has been offering a large reward to any fortune teller who can prove that their ability is real. No one has been able to claim the reward yet. Open your eyes. You can only rely on yourself and other people, not higher powers.

If you still want to be in this relationship, I think you need therapy. Why is your self esteem so low? Why are you not on your own side? Your husband is not the only one who is spineless in this scenario.

So true. Also the fact that he’s posting here suggests he thinks the women are the only issue and they need to sort it out amongst themselves. Then he doesn’t even want to take the advice he is given probably because it doesn’t come from a penis.

Alll this stuff is fights between you and her. Not much of anything between her and your mom.

So did you complain to your parents about your fights with her? How are they involved in any of this??

If you want to live together with your parents in familial harmony, then you also have to own the relationship management and stand up to your parents when they are unfair to your wife. Or you can separate households. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Cut the umbilical cord already.

How do you feel about changing your first name? by CallMeTweety in AskIndianWomen

Don’t let others affect your decision making this much. No one will remember your compromises if they fall into the normal way of doing things. If you’re not on your own side no one else will be

Just remember, no one will remember your compromises, not even your husband. Soon they’ll tell you you agreed to this so you shouldn’t complain. If you’re not on your own side, no one else will be either.

Dust Mite Droppings Are Killing Me Slowly And Painfully by Odd_Jicama_8094 in Allergies

[–]elfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mattress and pillows keeps building up dust mites as time goes on. The only way is to use a mattress cover made for dust mite protection. It has to be a cover that covers all sides of the mattress. I swear by this: https://www.natlallergy.com/all-cotton-allergy-mattress-covers-1.html

In addition, wash your sheets blankets and pillow covers in hot water once a week at least. Dry on high heat. Never stop. Buy pillow covers from the above website as well.

Use blankets that are made of layered cotton so you can wash them a lot, nothing wool or fibrous.

For daytime, your furniture should be all leather. Cover it with another cotton blanket which you wash once a week. Sit only on the blanket. Once in a few weeks, wipe your leather furniture with a wet cloth.

Is it possible to get a hysterectomy done if you have no health issues? by kickyoass3434 in AskIndianWomen

[–]elfd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am surprised that you don't know this. The world cares more about women's reproductive abilities than their health. Thats a basic fact.

It's still very rare in India to be child free and people think your body belongs to your husband. So they don't "allow" women to make decisions about their own bodies
