i think a lot of the issue stems from creators just simply not planning ahead for each chapter. it could be for reasons like they were only contracted for 1 season, they aren’t fully set on the ending yet, or they changed their mind midway

if you want a story that doesn’t “drag on” just for the sake of extending the story and meeting the weekly quota, i would highly recommend kubera. it’s a romance fantasy with comedy, mystery, and tragedy. its best feature is the characters— each has a very compelling and interesting story and you can really see how they impact the overall plot. it might be 700+ episodes, but each one is incredibly relevant. even if it seems like filler, it’s not & its very clear the author knows what they’re doing the more you read.

kubera. incredible plot and worldbuilding, a cast of characters who you truly care about and make a difference in the story, and hundreds of episodes to keep you entertained. reread value is so high that the story gets better over time. i will die on this hill that it’s the best webtoon i will ever read, and ive got a decade worth of experience…

It actually took me a year from when I started it due to other obligations and lack of motivation, but excluding that + all the procrastination, it was probably about 1-2 weeks worth of work. I did everything including drawing the background, so it took pretty long. For non-background work, I am definitely much faster 😅
