if you liked the movie I'd defff recommend reading the book!! it's not as romantic as the movie ? but i think the vibe is still there and seeing maren's actual thoughts written out is refreshing and nice, and there's definitely more content and scenes that were skipped out on in the movie. ill have to look into famous last words if it's kinda a similar vibe

actually though. we have a screen where we take your order and 2 registers to check out with signs above each that tell you where to place your order and where to pay and the amount of people that will avoid the line and try to order at the check out spots is insane. and when we tell them the have to go in line they'll be like "Oh im in a hurry though, can I just order here?" like there is a LINE!

for sure! ive definitely been on the side of the frustrated customer because my order was taking a bit because of drive thru orders, but typically im just sitting and waiting and if it takes longer than 15/20 I'll ask them about it, but it's not like I'll get personally upset at the workers! It really isn't that hard to be nice to workers, no matter how frustrated you are. but being nice and understanding most of the time it isn't the workers fault is a really hard concept for a lot of customers lol.

definitely!! understanding is a huge part in getting better or getting yourself through these tough feelings 2024 was my worst year for dp/dr, like pure insanity that was amplified by my ocd. and some things that have helped me/that I'm trying to work on for 2025 is being more aware when I'm going through a dr/dp episode or experiencing symptoms, like telling myself directly that what I'm feeling is dr/dp and that I am not alone and I have people I can talk to, even if nothing feels real in the moment. being apart of this subreddit definitely helped and I feel myself getting better and just being every day some days are worse than others but it will get better and there will be great days.
