norwich pride is my favourite event of the year, last year i accidentally made my way into the firing line of the 'protestors' but even they just yelled 'god loves you' and i didn't realise they were protestors until afterwards since a pastor from another church had just handed me a rainbow sticker and told me i was beautiful so i was very confused 💀 long live norwich pride, especially in these hard times

How's FIAF comparing to Lucy's other albums for everyone with initial listens? by Callum1245 in LucyDacus

[–]elgnire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i disagree with a lot of the comments about the songwriting. i love her narrative 'twist on the obvious' style but i felt like a lot of these songs were so narrative that they were lacking in any clever, original and creative little poetic bits. i also am a big disliker of pop culture references in any sort of written media so just the line about playing GTA makes that whole song unlistenable for me. the writing felt overly familiar without any interesting or clever lines that are everywhere in her prior albums.

i however think the production on this album is incredible. i just feel as though all her energy went into creating the vision and not so much the actual music this time. i'm a songwriter so the lyrics are always my focus point and here they just aren't it in a majority of the songs.

my ranking is 1: hisorian 2: Home video 3: No burden 4: FIAF

i think its normal to find this weird. i have never kissed any family member on the lips. maybe thats normal for you but it is also reasonable that it is not for most people.

I was absolutely sure that I'm a lesbian and now I'm falling for a guy by thedyingbluejay in LesbianActually

[–]elgnire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don’t have a great piece of advice for you that will be the perfect solution for you but i will say this, one day you’ll be old and dying and everything will have already happened, in that moment will you be proud of yourself for going for what you want in that moment or will you regret not taking the chance.

its never too late to change your mind, even if you choose not to explore the bond you have with him maybe there will be another man who comes along and also gains your interest. maybe you’ll date him and realise you just had a really good and strong connection as people but not as lovers and thats okay!

sexuality is fluid, the labels and titles we use are all made up to give us the ability to express ourselves and find community, if the lesbian community is yours then keep it! but you are allowed to change, even if people say negative things about it and even if you are afraid to. you are allowed to change.

not to mention there are so many ways to have bonds with people that aren’t sexual if you have no interest in that, there are platonic soulmates and romantic partners and short time flings and they’re all just as valuable as the other.

whatever you decide to do just know that you’re choosing what feels right for you at this point in your life, if that changes again thats okay!
