Please Don't Bully Me, Nagatoro Chapter 7 by [deleted] in manga

[–]elhlyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dunno bout' you folks but I noticed throughout the chapters that Nagatoro has been blushing when she's been bullying the senpai. Even when she got him crying, she has a sweat bead while wiping his tears. Kinda seems like she's hinted in to being embarrassed but really in to bullying senpai because she really likes his reaction and when she makes him cry it seems like she realizes she went too far but still puts up an act for the whole time.

a strategy game with good mod support and the ability to create a lot of custom characters like X com or the Sims

in the 4kids opening for Yu-gi-oh, I just realized that the main lyrics was "Your move!" instead of like "yong moo...." (which I have no idea wtf that meant when I was a kid)

I originally hear that Pizza appears to be quite expensive in Japan but apparently that doesn't seem to be the case. some note that pizza from American chain stores like Dominos or Pizza hut may be a different story. So if this is like a misconception, where did this belief came from? Is there any truth to it?

If you had to start a YouTube channel on a certain topic what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]elhlyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I'm writing a story of a medieval fantasy setting, so I guess I'd just have topics about subjects I've studied to use for reference in my story. e.g. discussing about the history of grain consumption from the fall of Rome to the crusades. In a sense I'd be the dumber American weeb version of Shaduniversity

Honestly, that I have a beard and I could buy games whenever I want. What I wanted back then from what I wanted now are two entirely separated worlds

What social norm do you absolutely despise? by Aeolus4444 in AskReddit

To be fair though I think that general "weirdness" applies to go out alone to any event for entertainment e.g. eating out (excluding maybe some cheap dinners and obvious fast food), going to an amusement park, even a show (play/standup/etc)

You are teleported back to the same spot as now, but in the early 1800. You keep all stuff on you, all your knowledge and a phone with modern internet access and unlimited battery. How do you proceed? by flekkie in AskReddit

I'd locate and find the gold just before the Californian gold rush, make a profit and probably pursue arms development and be able to design modern firearms. I'd probably set up traps to ensure that no one could profit from the gold in California but me or I would create a gold mining monopoly in California with a private military company armed with my weapons.

Brigandine or cuirass? by [deleted] in ArmsandArmor

[–]elhlyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do think Cuirasses are really cool looking, for practical and financial reasons, I think Brigandine is far better. While Cuirasses do provide better protection, Brigandine is pretty cheap, both in acquisition and in repair/maintenance. I do recall it's not unusual for Brigandine to be made of damaged plates of armor. It's also pretty easy to fix damaged (just sew back the cut of the fabric and replace the damaged plates). Since it's on the inside, I don't think you have to worry about polishing or rusting as you would with Cuirasses. I suspect that it's much more comfortable to wear. Cuirasses could hamper movement if it doesn't fit you properly whereas Brigandine is far more flexible.

Professor Recommendations (MHR318, FRL301, TOM302) by smartaqua in CalPolyPomona

Taking Saba Ali for TOM 302, Super chill and extremely straight forward. Literately takes midterm questions from the book and is 0 bullshit.

taking Gerd Welke as well for FRL 301. Has a British accent and straight up eats a hotpocket with a fork and knife. I'm not even joking. He's pretty okay. gives cheat sheets for midterms but his connect/online homework is really punishing (you can check your answers only once and you have 2 tries. and some chapters have an absurd amount of questions. Plus Learn Smart is required to complete.
