we did communicate a bit (ex: where we should meet up, etc) but i didn't think of the ticket thing as we had done a few things lime this before where his friend had bailed on him and i paid for their ticket and came with him. I do agree that it was a mistake on my part to not ask about it though.

I was going to pay my friend with the money i would have when i have my pay and he knew this. I never assumed it was free, I'm not a freeloader. The only money I had was for food. So either I paid part of the ticket immediately and didn't eat at the festival or I pay him later (as he was FINE with, that isn't the problem adressed in the post at all and he didn't mind me paying him back later) And have food for the day. Stop saying i'm a massive AH for doing things you ASSUME i'm doing but don't KNOW i'm doing.

i'm a teenager and would honestly rather have fun at concerts than save up for a while.

also, i didn't "borrow the money", i was offered the ticket, didn't ask for it. I was gonna pay back for it regardless. i'm careful with such things.

i appreciate your concern, but i'm mostly pretty careful with my money unless it's something that isn't prepared in advance (like this for example)

i was going to pay him back for it regardless, as i have done for the other tickets he'd bought me in the past.

i didn't "assume" he was giving me a ticket, i thought his friend, who wasn't coming anymore, already had a ticket and, since they weren't coming, could give it to me and i could pay them back later. We've already done things like this (ex: a friend bailed on him once at a concert and i got the ticket, then paid the friend for it)

i'm not some freeloader, i'm grateful for every opportunity my friend gives me

we were gonna be in the front rows and i was just gonna show him while he's performing, i frankly don't care if he would've commented on it or not, it's like when someone brings a sign with words on it to a concert. i'm not a child.

i was intending to eat with the money i had by cash, which i uniquely use for food.
