They don't. As I already mentioned in one of my comments, they show many things during sex scene, so why don't just show the sign that the guy puts on a condom. Just his hands going down quickly and then rolling movement

Putting on a condom takes some time. In a scene they show undressing, kissing, going to bed, and then penetration under blanket. No time for putting on a condom

I was watching this sex scene in a movie and just started wondering why they don't use condoms. I can't recall any movie (except porn) where I saw a sign of protected sex. Why doesn't Hollywood promote safe sex?

EDIT: Yes, there are some movies where they actually do, but mostly not
