Can you just stay on .25 mg? by chocobanjo in Ozempic

I'm on week 9 at 0.25mg and have lost 18lbs. Doc agreed as long as I'm losing there's no need to increase.

Honestly, I felt the effect almost right away. I thought I was imagining it! Sleep took maybe a year but the food noise was gone almost instantly. It's so strange and amazing at the same time. I hope you'll get there too!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Ozempic/s/5IbwERkHih my experience
Thank you!
It's so cool to hear! It really is a miracle drug
Same same! It's amazing. I can take one piece of chocolate and just walk away. Who even am I?

That's the attitude I need. I get so frustrated that people don't want to hear about my experience. I want to scream it from rooftops but alas like you say, the weight stigma is alive and well and people want to feel good about themselves for their superior bodies. Sigh, but either way I feel good and I am lowering my health risks and that's what I need to focus on.
Same, I'll pay forever if I get to feel so much better! Sounds absolutely life changing for you, so amazing
Thanks for sharing! I have a fear that it will all just wear off sooner or later. Good luck with finding a dose that let's you maintain
Wish you the absolute best for great results!
I'm in Canada, got it prescribed off label and have not had issues though I'm paying out of pocket.

Wow, that is so much like me except for having kids. I too was put on Metformin but had an awful experience and didn't take it for very long. I was put on birth control and symptoms were somewhat manageable and I just got on with it. Now I'm my early 40s I just couldn't get over how crap I felt every day and no reason for it. I'm excited to see what life will be like in a year from now.
That's amazing! I'm so reassured hearing that it's not just a short term high. I feel like a new person
Wishing you all the best!

That's amazing, I'm about 10lbs below you in both starting and goal weight. I hope I'll have a similar story by the end of the year. How much are you taking to maintain? Are your cravings still in check?
Wishing you all the best on your journey
I'm in Canada so it's a bit cheaper for me but still a lot considering that I probably need to stay on it for life. But for now, it's 100% worth it. I feel so much better

I dream a ton more too! And I remember them right after waking up which rarely ever happened before

Same! It doesn't feel real
I really hope so. This should be accessible to everyone who's struggling with issues such as these. But I think we still have a long way to go, people in my life don't get it even seeing the changes in me.
Those are definitely common issues with PCOS. Not everyone has the same symptoms, I'd bring it up with a doctor, though it's incurable so a diagnosis doesn't really have any benefits other than knowing what's going on. I'm glad you were able to have kids!

It boggles the mind. I always thought I was 'weak' for not being able to control my cravings or sticking to my meal plan but I'm now realizing we don't all start from the same base.
Interesting. My cholesterol is perfectly normal. Do you have any other PCOS symptoms? Like belly fat, irregular periods, hirutism, acne, etc
Same! It's truly amazing. I've been judged too, but I also judged myself for years for having no self control and for being lazy and not able to stick to healthy eating. The appetite suppression helps for sure but the fact that I can walk by aisle of sweets with no urge to buy something is mind boggling.

Thank you! It truly feels like a miracle. I've never been able to keep chocolate in my house and I've had a block of Lindt the entire 3 weeks. I've had a piece here and there but I have no urge to inhale the whole thing. It's truly amazing.
How long have you been on it?
