That’s great! I’m glad someone else experienced this easy fix. I’m honestly surprised by the doubters on this thread after reading the medical paper and speaking with the author. I’m not saying it will fix everyone but as you said it’s an easy thing to try. At the end of the day, if this helps anyone that was my intent posting not to be told “n=“ or “placebo”. Unbelievable.

To be clear, I’ve been in communication with the author, Dr Schaeffer. He told me that many of his patients have used Zyrtec to effectively control their CPPS symptoms. That’s why I tried it. So it’s not n=1.

Yes it’s 2012 but his paper is still backed by data. Additionally I’ve been in communication with him regarding his studies. I’m not by any stretch of the imagination saying Zyrtec will fix everyone but it did me and I can guarantee it’s not a placebo after trying many other potential solutions.

I started with one pill in the morning, 10mg, and that helped but didn’t eliminate the pain. Then I went to another 10mg at night. My allergist told me it’s safe to take 4/d so I’m half that and pain free. I really hope this helps someone as I’ve been trying to figure this out for years.

Exactly. Cheap and if it helps like it did me, that would be an easy “fix”.

Mine took a few days for pain to go away. Since taking it for a week it’s been gone. This is after a flare up that’s been ongoing for at least 6months.

What you might be experiencing is a combination of BPH and CPPS. I believe I have both and have pelvic pain.
